Boortz: Islam Is A "Deadly Virus" And "We're Going To Wait Far Too Long To Develop A Vaccine To Find A Way To Fight This" On the October 16 edition of his nationally syndicated radio program, Neal Boortz declared: "Islam is a virus. It is a deadly virus that is spreading throughout Europe and the Western world," adding that "we're going to wait far too long to develop a vaccine to find a way to fight this." Later in the broadcast, Boortz, who stated that he "would be willing to put money that Spain will be operating under Islamic law within 10 years," predicted "that Europe is doomed, and America's going to have a tough time surviving in anything close to its present form after America falls to Islam -- to the Muslim creeping virus." Boortz also characterized Islam as "not a very pleasant religion" and "a creeping mold infestation." He also said of Muslims: "[T]hese people are violent." As Media Matters for America documented, on the July 19 edition of his radio program, Boortz called the Prophet Muhammad "a phony rag-picker" and stated that Islam is "a religion of vicious, violent, bloodthirsty cretins." From the October 16 broadcast of Cox Radio Syndication's The Neal Boortz Show: BOORTZ: Day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year, these stories of this violence keep coming in. A doctor kills his wife there; somebody kills their daughter over here. The stories of this violence come in. You know what? Sooner or later, you really start to get the idea that this is not a very pleasant religion. Sooner or later, you really start to get the idea that these people are violent. And does the Quran in fact say -- does the Quran say that if you leave Islam, you must be killed? Does it say that? [...] BOORTZ: I -- I would -- I would be willing to put money that Spain will be operating under Islamic law within 10 years. [...] BOORTZ: This is a virus. Islam is a virus. It is a deadly virus that is spreading throughout Europe and the Western world, and it is going to completely and totally change the way we live our lives in this country. And we're going to wait -- we're going to wait far too long to develop a vaccine to find a way to fight this. We have so many things working against us. First of all, we have a Democratic Party right now that for the last six years has been focused on one thing and only one thing: demonizing George Bush. [...] BOORTZ: I truly consider Islam, on a worldwide basis, to be a creeping mold infestation that if we are not alert, we will get to the point -- we will get to the point that it is just overpowering and overtaking, and we're going to have to take unbelievably drastic measures to deal with it just to save the very structure of our society. I don't like Islam, nor do I think we should have allowed so many Muslims from countries that sponsor, support, or harbor terrorists, into this one. However, we can't fight a large share of the world. If they want to be Muslim in their own countries and cultures, that's their business. It's our own fault, that we allow them into THIS country, or that we keep poking our noses into THEIR business in their countries.
