Another 'Bridge Day' story that actually has more to do with this thread than the other 'BD' thread. My wife and I were waiting in a LONG LINE for a hot dog yesterday (it was the most nutritious thing we could find). Prissy women from OBX were reaming the solo attendant about the long wait. When my turn came, I asked him a) "why he didn't tell the uppity bitch to kiss his ass" and b) "why the vendor had left him alone with such a massive crowd on hand". He smiled in response to 'a', but I found his answer to 'b' rather interesting. It seems that, starting THIS year, the FBI was doing background checks on ALL vendors and their employees; that they would have to supply their Social Security numbers as part of this 'check', and that those numbers would remain on file with the FBI until NEXT May; after being told originally that those numbers would be destroyed right after the event. This last-minute changed resulted in some of the vendors and employees saying 'FU' to the idea...they walked off. Sadly; it left many others under the gun, but I have to hand it to those who walked off rather than supply that info to the authorities. Hats off to West (by G-d!) Virginia.
