There is always some creep trying to make a buck off this kind of crap. Foley should have his balls cut off. This is a sick society we live in.

315.01 was the winning bid for this polymer clay one of a kind piece. I might be mistaken, but I believe Tommy has worked with this medium. Let's ask the artist here what he thinks of this.
Utterly fucking amazing. It amazes me more that people have money to spend on this sort of thing, when you consider all of the poor folks there are out here.

I'd have to agree with that. Someone who has that kind of money to burn on that piece has disposable income to burn. It is a poor investment as current news pieces that volatile in public awareness are bound to have a volatile price. In a couple of years it will be, "Foley who?" I would invest in a pancake with a Jesus likeness on it before I bought this. At least that purchase would recognize that not only are there allot of gullible people out there, Jesus will still be known about and popular long after Foley as bent his last page over. I'd make my money back. If my girlfriend didn't murder me for buying it that is. Females are always a good check on doing stupid purchases, unless they are the ones they make that is. And damn them if they don't somehow have that perfect tone of voice and flutter of an eyelash that makes you forget you wallet was raped and you are angry. ;-)

For starters, I cannot believe someone paid that kind of money for something made of Super Sculpey. To begin with, the likeness is terrible. However, as far as the novelty of the piece goes, I think it's pretty hilarious. I have worked and still work in Polymer clay. I don't use it as often anymore, as there are much better and more durable materials to work with. Would I have paid that kind of money for that thing, nope. I would have sculpted one for myself that was even better.
