New York, NY, October 30, 2006 … The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) announced the election of Glen Lewy as its next National Chairman. A New York lawyer, investment banker and venture capitalist, Mr. Lewy has been actively involved with ADL since the 1970s.

"It is a tremendous honor and privilege to have been chosen by my peers to lead this agency in its vital mission of combating anti-Semitism, bigotry and prejudice," said Mr. Lewy. "As the League enters its 94th year we stand ready to combat the scourge of anti-Semitism, to support the State of Israel, to defend American ideals and values, and to work for the betterment of civil society for all."

In his nearly two decades of leadership with ADL, Mr. Lewy has served both on the League's New York Regional Board and as a member of the National Commission and National Executive Committee, the League's top policymaking body. As a member of ADL leadership delegations, Mr. Lewy has traveled extensively across Europe, the Middle East and China. He has conferred with world leaders from many nations, including Germany, France, China, Italy and Israel, and recently was among a delegation of top ADL leaders to hold a private audience with Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican.

"We are extremely fortunate to have such an outstanding, remarkable, articulate and proven leader to guide us through the months and years ahead," said Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director. "Glen Lewy brings to his new role a deep understanding of the challenges posed by the new anti-Semitism, the threat of global terrorism and the need to protect and defend the vibrant, democratic state of Israel and our democratic values at home."

An adviser to some of the world's largest and most prestigious corporations for more than 25 years, Mr. Lewy joined Hudson Ventures, a technology-focused venture capital firm, in 2000 as a Senior Managing Director. He was a senior partner and a member of the management committee of Wolfensohn & Co., a New York investment banking firm, and after it was acquired by Bankers Trust Company in 1996, he became a member of the management committee of Bankers Trust. Prior to joining Wolfensohn & Co., Mr. Lewy was a partner at the law firm of Debevoise & Plimpton. He holds a Bachelor's Degree from Amherst College and a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School.

Mr. Lewy is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and sits on the Board of Trustees of the New York Historical Society and the Seed Foundation. He and his wife, Cheryl, reside in Westchester County, New York. Subscribe to *Hasbarfa Alert*

Seriously Mike, do you still buy the BS about the ADL's mission to promote harmony and kumbaya?

The "betterment of civil society" comes in last on this tool's list.

My bad. I posted this without pinging you, Mike. Second try:

No comment at all from you on this? Can I infer that you've changed your mind about the ADL or does silence indicate tacit support?

I just got done being hired for a holiday job and have lots of things on my plate this week. There is no time limit on answering posts, and I saw your ping and have been thinking of the best way to articulate a response.

I am not at all a very good one liner of a poster. My apologies, but I will answer soon if this is that important to you, but I need my space to do it in my own way, in my own time.

I only have a couple of short breaks back at the office today where I can check my pings today, so please don't use that fire hardened pointy prompting stick on my pastie white hind quarters right now. Thank you.

Take your time.

Lewy is a known thief and liar. It comes with the territory of his profession. It's a curious thing why B'nai B'rith would allow a predator to be chairman of its little human harmony project.
