George Allen's boys manhandled a dissident in Charlottesville, Va. today. Video here: http://www.nbc29.com/Global/story.asp?S=5613839 The guy manhandled is named Mike Stark. His blog:

I caught the tail end on CNN a few minutes ago so I didn't see how vociferous this guy was. He's a Kossack.
He's a first-year law student at UVA (this took place in Charlottesville,) and was in the Marine Corps a while back.

If beating people for being loud and obnoxious is acceptable, then we can in good faith kick every politician's ass for just appearing in public.

CNN showed the video? A newsreel showing how toughs in the German-American Bund roughed up and hustled out some dissenters at a rally of theirs in Madison Square Garden in New York played a big role in totally discrediting the organization.

Allen is now the laughingstock of downtown Charlottesville, his original base of support.

Yes. Actually, I saw it on CNN Headline News - that would be the HNN channel. Like I said I caught the tail end, not the beginning of the incident.

On the YouTube video replay, it said that Webb was leading 50%-46%. Yippee! Throw the bum out, and this Allen bum is one of the worst I've read about. Good grief - what a slimeball.
Webb and Allen are on the same page when it comes to Israel. There'll be no difference in replacing one sellout bum with another.

Oye vaye. Well, quite a few Virginians' children have gone into the meat grinder in Iraq for Israel's benefit. Maybe after another 4 years have passed they will wake up and demand that the 2 parties run only pro-America candidates. The parties run folks they think are electable and I guess this type of IsraelFirster politician must be what Virginians like.
The Israel Firsters were all in favor of the Iraq war. Webb predicted in 2002 what a disaster it would be. Jim Webb, Marty Peretz and our "serious" national security leaders .

Thanks for the link. Also I stumbled across quite a few links to op-ed colums by and articles about Jim Webb. He definitely sounds more pro-America. His son is serving in Iraq so he has a personal perspective too. He stuck up for Murtha when the Dimwits and the Repukes were dumping on Murtha for his common sense non-PC suggestion for a timetable of withdrawal. He'd get my vote if I lived in Virginia.

Probably not or if it is reported, Mike Stark will be dismissed as a "disgruntled" voter or perhaps it will be implied that Stark is a generic loose-cannon...I used to believe that the MSM were Democrat cheerleaders, but now I have come to believe that while it's true that reporters themselves may vote Democrat most of the time, their bosses want to maintain ACCESS for their employers to politicians currently in power or likely to gain power soon. In this case, since incumbents have such an unfair advantage in re-election campaigns, the MSM bosses are placing their bets where the odds are favorable - they don't want to burn bridges with Allen quite yet. Webb is fighting an uphill battle. The issue of Allen not being being an IsraelFirster and actually leaving the GOP because of the negative influence of the neocons and because the MSM owners are IsraelFirsters themselves...it will be tough for Webb to get any help from the MSM all in all, unless the spread gets better - like 10 points - then middle managers in MSM may lean towards building access to the new winner and the reporters will be allowed to report some dirt on Allen at the last minute. But the point spread has to look better than it does now.
So it is now acceptable for non-law enforcement personnel/political flunkies to manhandle another citizen who asks questions the flunkies find unacceptable? With any luck, this guy will press charges and one of his law professors will assist the young man in suing the person's involved, the Senator himself, and the police department for not arresting these men on the spot. If Joe citizen had walked up and started man-handling these same individuals, Johnny Law would have had their tasers out or called in the SWAT team and Joe citizen would be sitting in jail right now.

As someone who does non-violent civil disobedience, trust me, in that game, to lose is to win.

You are correct that this outcome will harm Allen more than one in which the man would have sucessfully defended himself. With any luck the incident will hurt Allen and pay for the young man's law school expenses.

This is why we tree hugger types give non-violent training refresher training to people over and over and over to our folks. The natural instinct to fight back is hard to suppress.
