Soon newsboys will be shouting it from every corner. Extra! Extra! Read all about it! The biggest metamorphosis in history! The United States no longer a constitutional republic. Come and read about the decline and fall of a once great republic. Martial law proclaimed. The freedoms of millions swept away. The greatest democratic venture of the ages falls into the abyss. The dreams of the framers of the Constitution washed away in the rush to a socialist order….

In the greatest coup in the history of mankind President George W. Bush has climaxed six years of devious and manipulative governance with the stunning reversal of the constitutional protections of the people. The president has secured virtually all of the dictatorial authority that he has sought from the beginning of his presidency. Authority, which effectively sweeps away all constitutional impediment to the establishment of a North American Socialist Order, and ushers in a contemplated commitment to a soon coming world-wide order joined by common policies, religion, commerce, and laws.

The sweeping provisions of the Patriot Acts I and II and domestic surveillance legislation were passed, at the president’s instigation, by a malleable and weak congress long possessed of a socialistic nature and a dedication to Orwellian governance. With exultant celebration the members of congress proceeded lockstep to the finalization of the greatest sell-out of American freedoms since the inception of the nation. The president’s jubilation is evident daily as he displays his trademark crooked smirk and expounds at great length about how this set aside of the Constitution is indeed a monumental victory in the war with terrorism. A theme that he has ridden to many freedom curtailing victories throughout the course of his presidency.

The president, thought by some to be a buffoon of minimal intellect, has used this misconception to good advantage as he has step by step implemented his program for total government control over every aspect of the lives of the American people. Playing upon the gullibility of the average American he has done a magnificent job of disarming the fears brought about by the warnings of learned constitutionalists in the nation. And by a stealthy and steadfast application of guile and deception he has disarmed the alarms raised by those who, all along, had an intuitive perception of his political socialistic leanings.

Even the president’s political opponents concede that he has been masterful in the deployment of deception and obfuscation as he has implemented the various phases of his program for a totalitarian socialistic society. Never one to be daunted by temporary setbacks, the president has doggedly pursued his goals by unconstitutionally abusing his power as commander in chief to go to war, and by his refusal to honor his oath of office to protect the security and sovereignty of the United States and to sustain its borders. That he has been able to deploy such constitutionally illegal maneuvers in pursuit of his dream of a national socialistic order is testimony to his very adept use of the slight of hand to allay any concerns of the citizens under his domination and control.

The president, has masterfully countered the incipience of Americans in regard to his incursions upon their freedoms and constitutional guarantees. Like the weasel, which deftly slips the chickens out of the coop, the president has surreptitiously filched the liberties of somnolent Americans while concomitantly assuring them that it was in their best interests that he has pulled off this thievery. Americans, benevolent creatures that they are, have, time and time again, forgiven the president of his trespasses and acquitted him of his treachery in the court of public opinion. And the congress, perpetually embroiled in a battle to establish which of the two parties is the more morally deficient, has shown no inclination to rein in the president’s excesses and this erosion of constitutional principles.

Americans are increasingly feeling the heavy hand of despotic forces as an all controlling government reaches out, with uninhibited power, to enforce its dictatorial decrees. The consciousless bureaucratic attack dogs who enforce these decrees do so with maniacal exuberance and efficiency. Increasingly Americans are going to jail for exercising their options, under the constitution, to avail themselves of liberties heretofore considered to be inviolable. Constantly and secretly monitored and spied upon by unaccountable government agents, their right to due process, and their right to seek redress through the courts have been effectively severed by tyrannical and unconstitutional laws.

Mr. Bush unencumbered by the vices and moral issues, which plagued his predecessor, Bill Clinton, has marshaled, by deception, the considerable power and influence of easily deceived conservative Christians to help enable his subjugation of the people. The president has proved that he is far trickier than Richard Nixon and much slicker than Slick Willie. And he has done more to abridge the sovereignty of the nation than any of the presidents, in history, who have preceded him in office.

It is due to the currently submissive and gullible nature of our society that this destruction of liberties and the incremental dismantlement of the Constitution have been pulled off with considerable ease and little in the way of opposition. Like the little rodent victims of the pied piper the American people are being piped down the path to ultimate devastation. Too caught up in the pursuit of tangible possessions and engaged in a slavish chase after the good things in life, they are destined to a fate that is infinitely more disastrous than living in modest circumstances. By their apathy and ignorance they have sowed the wind and they are reaping the whirlwind.

The author is devoid of history or he is carried away by current events.

The picture he paints has not taken place in just six years, it has long been in the making. FDR got the ball rolling in 1941, an illegal war, concentration camps, restrictive laws one upon another etc etc.

Bush is merely putting the finishing touches in place for someone else.

yep, and as you and i have posted many times, he couldn't have put those finishing touches on without years of complicity by the other two branches of government..not to mention, bush is merely the current head puppet.

bush is merely the current head puppet.

That begs the question,"has the next and perhaps last president been selected"?????

The author has his ducks all in a row but his political partisanship is showing.

Below by Paul Warburg is justification for my opinion.

" For example, on Feburary 17, 1953, Financier Paul Warburg said before the U.S. Senate: “We shall have world government whether or not you like it, by conquest or consent.”

Now that is very plain and simple, Bush had nothing to do with it.

Even before that. Wilson and his war to "make democracy safe" no matter how many Americans he had to throw in Jail...or the meat grinder.

Hell, look at your phone bill some time. There is still a charge on there that is a "temporay" tax that is used to pay for the Spanish-American war.

Well, if we want to go way back, we need to visit the Civil War. Abe threw thousands in jail with no recourse.

I went back to FDR because I lived thru that era, knew when the Federal government had little to do with our everyday life. Governmental control came with a rush at the advent of WW2 and has never been turned back.

whoa. before the senate. it couldn't have been any clearer who was in charge. that '53 senate knew it too. i bet there was nary a whimper.

it couldn't have been any clearer who was in charge.

The Warburgs and Schiffs were all intermarried, Schiff financed the Russian Revolution and his grandson is now married to Al Gores daughter, which is seldom mentioned.

Well, if we want to go way back,

Then go back to the beginning. Go back to George Washington using his executive power (under executive order) to establish the federal district states.... which is what permitted the first Bank of the United States to operate within the former colonies/new states by simply flying the federal flag over the building (i.e., law of the flag determines the law in force under the flag). That, and Exclusive Jurisdiction written into the Constitution, which is the power under which Washington created the federal district states.

You know the worth of the tree by its fruit, and what we have today is the fruit of the Constitution, so, go back to the Constitution to understand the problem.

The Solution is to apply, for the first time in the history of the United States, the Constitution to Washington, D.C.
