Hey all! I could use some advice. As some of you know, I have been fighting some health issues for quite some time. I have been to more doctors and specialists then my memory can hold and take so many pills that I am called the Department Pharmacy at work.

I have come to you - oh great and all knowing people of healthy stuff, for advice. Zip and Chris know that I have a few permanent conditions that I don't want to share, but I have some really odd non-related stuff as well.

1. The corners of my mouth crack and bleed for no reason. My son says it scares him because he is afraid that it means that my mouth is getting bigger. Anyways, I have seen multiple causes for this - but no real cures. Are there any vitamins that I should be taking to help at least prevent this?

2. I have NO energy, I am nearly always half asleep no matter how much I drink cofee.

3. I have no apetite. A few of my meds cause this - but is there something out there that I can take to stimulate my apetite?

4. My immune system sucks eggs - this is due to a few meds too - but is there anything *natural* that I should take to try to boost it?

And on a side note - pay no attention to Zip when she starts yelling at me to go to the doctor - I hate going to the doctors.

;0)

Thanks for any ideas you offer!

Yes, Austin is a huge bike town too. They have a 'Bicycles not Bombs' branch there which is much of the same mindset as 'Food not Bombs.'

We get Austin people here occasionally and every one I've met are awed by our bicycle path system and always say they wish it was as bicycle friendly in Texas.

Lance Armstrong is a rock star here. You don't get a "Lance who?" response to his name or image here. He would draw a major crowd and the full media attention if he showed up in Eugene. The Tour de France gets page one coverage here, and local races always draw a major crowd.

If you guys ever get tired of Lance, by all means, send him here. We would dearly love a local like him around.

We've all been duped.

I still use the microwave at work sometimes.

Lance gets lots of love here, as well as state-wide: there's talk that he could go into politics and do quite well - although his recent divorce would be a negative in some circles.

Whatever else, his life-story to date is nothing less than an unbelievable miracle.

Yikes.

I guess like any other product, there is the creme de la creme out there.

That's about what my favorite mode of transportation is worth too...

Some notable similarities:

*Mine also has health benefits. If you don't believe it, try giving it a spin for a few miles one day. The next day you'll discover muscles you didn't know you had.

*You don't need a license to ride it.

*You never have to stop at a gas station.

*It doesn't add to the environmental pollution problem.

But there are some notable differences too. Among them are:

*Mine weighs 1200 lbs more.

*Mine is capable of auto-pilot, which could be handy in the event that for some reason you are incapacitated and unable.

*Mine is very much less restricted in where you can go.

That's really cool!!! Congrats, you have a natural in the family!!

He'll love it!!! Won't be long, and he'll be gone for hours at a time with his best friend in the whole world...

Our lives with horses are rich with feeling. If you've ever... choked back tears watching a new foal wobble to his feet for the first time... or watching your good horse wobble to his feet after surgery... or seen the ends of the reins float straight out as a reining horse spins beneath them... or chuckled to yourself as you watched a tiny tot on a patient pony trot through a barrel pattern at a saddle club playday... or felt the building tremble as an eight-up hitch of feather-legged giants towed a hand-carved beer wagon into the arena... or had your heart stop when you saw your horse lying motionless in the pasture on a sunny day -- and waited breathlessly to see an ear flicker... or cheered at the screen when The Man From Snowy River slid Dunnie down the mountainside, or when Seabiscuit made his final surge to best War Admiral... or cruised along the highway and seen a horse in the pasture and wondered what he's like to ride... or pictured him as a prospect... or sucked in your breath as a horse and rider approached a six-foot wall... or sworn a solemn oath to your horse that together you would triumph... or flipped through the TV channels and stopped when you saw a horse... even when it was a commercial... or laughed aloud when you rubbed your horse's face and he rubbed back... or gotten chills hearing Dave Johnson's "...and DOWN THE STRETCH THEY COME!" (Or "Run For The Roses" circa 1980 ish?) or stood in awe at your horse in morning play as he sprinted around the pasture, then stopped, head erect, and snorted defiance at the rest of the world... or been thankful to see wild horses grazing casually at the foot of a hill... or felt calmed by the sleekness of a silky haircoat beneath your hand... or felt your jaw drop as you watched a Lipizzan perform a capriole... or if you've ever seen someone in the grocery store wearing a certain kind of hat or boots or buckle, or have a certain cut and length to their jeans... and felt some remote kind of connection... or felt warmed by a soft-nicker greeting you as you entered the barn... If you've ever been moved by any of these feelings, then you've seen the awesome power of God's creations.

I have had experience with people who have that sort of competitive personality. Steve Prefontaine used to live down the street from me and owned a gold MGB (the car he crashed and died of suffocation in).

Mom bought an MG Midget and was off at the office and driving the Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser. Steve gave a quick knock on the screen door the week she got it and said hi as he walked in without an invite. He commented on the Midget and scooped up the keys on the table in the dining room and said he was going to try it and that he'd be right back. Me and my brother had not said yes or no, he just grabbed the keys and drive off with it.

I called Mom and told her and there was silence at her end for a minute. All she said was, "call me when he comes back." I did and put him on the phone.

All they did was talk for half an hour about sports cars. After that, Mom would tell everyone who broached the topic of her car with pride that Steve Prefontaine himself had driven her car. Go figure.

I was on the road in Connecticut when the news about his death came. I barely made it to the side of the road to stop I was so grieved. We sure miss him here in Eugene. He too was a great man, a firebrand, a trend setter and a free independent spirit.

We were lucky and blessed to have him. I sure miss him.

Thanks for the CelticSeaSalt information - I see that our local WholeFoods stores carry it.

You are killing me here today...my wife and I LOVE 'Whole Foods' markets; everyone should shop there, if you are fortunate enough to have one nearby. (Click here to find out.)

While living in the Upper Connecticut River valley; we would travel 240 miles ROUND TRIP just to shop at the Whole Foods market in Hadley, Mass. (The only reason I would visit that sewer.) Shopping there is almost a religious experience for those of us who don't have local access to one. I just found one in Greenville SC (coincidentally; home of my favorite chicken wing/cold beer establishment), and am more than willing to make the trip just to shop there. For some odd reason, there is NO ACCESS to any establishment selling nutrional/healthy FOOD in East Tennessee. No wonder the medical cartel rules this area with an iron fist.

Feeling tired and loss of appetite without a concomitant loss in weight and poor immune system - have you been tested for hypothyroidism? You need a physician to administer the tests - TSH and Free T3 and Free T4 levels.

There are other symptoms of hypothyroidism which you may or may not have - hair breaking or some hair loss, pale dry skin, outside edges of eyebrows thinning, nails not growing or splitting if they do grow, consistently low body temperature than normal, cold intolerance, constipation, memory loss.

One thing I learned way back from my HomeEc teacher mom, was that if you want some product stocked in a store, go to the manager and ask for it. Here in Austin, the "organic" sections of the groceries seem to be growing daily as more people are learning of the crap that's in many of our food-stuff, and are willing to pay a bit more for better quality product.

Few people realize just how amazing the feats those magnificent beauties perform really are. They make it look so simple and natural in their "road shows".

If cost were no object, it would be a lot easier for me to name the very few breeds I wouldn't care about owning, rather than the ones I would.. I'd love to have a Cleveland Bay, Friesan, Salerno, and of course a Shire... BTW, the largest horse ever on record was a Shire named Samson - he measured 21.2 hh, and weighed 3360 lbs!!!

do you do these essential oils orally?

I use the lavender for surface wounds.

I use the peppermint, a drop in a glass of water, if I have a queasy stomach.

The lemon I mostly use for cleaning all kinds of things -- a drop in the dishwater, bath, cleaning furnitive.

A little of all of them go a long way.

Somebody here mentioned something about parasites, but I'm not going through 134 posts to find out who.

Best thing for that, probably, is wormwood.

DO NOT USE THE ESSENTIAL OIL. It's poisonous, not to mention unbearably bitter.

Tea's fine. Just type "wormwood parasites" into Google and you'll get all kinds of info.

http://ourbest4u.com/audio/0413 06drb3.mp3

More product info:http://www.enivamembers.com/zvibe_1.aspx?ID=286225 Also, from the nanotechnology people who brought you the Energy Enhancer patch, we have the Skin Care system which has a Glutathione patch that is the master anti-oxidant and detoxifier. It recycles Vitamin C and E, CoQ10 and CoA.

You can see more here: http://www.lifewave.com/nanopower19 Click on the Skin Care system. The patch may be ordered alone. You do not need to get the whole Skin Care package.

This patch increases glutathione by 300% in 24 hours. The closest competitor is 30% in 30 days.

I will hold off with the zeolite product for now since the Vibe is so much better.

And the glutathione patch is a monstrous success as far as results. Even people who have quit smoking 20 years ago can smell the nicotine coming out of their skin.
