Hey all! I could use some advice. As some of you know, I have been fighting some health issues for quite some time. I have been to more doctors and specialists then my memory can hold and take so many pills that I am called the Department Pharmacy at work.

I have come to you - oh great and all knowing people of healthy stuff, for advice. Zip and Chris know that I have a few permanent conditions that I don't want to share, but I have some really odd non-related stuff as well.

1. The corners of my mouth crack and bleed for no reason. My son says it scares him because he is afraid that it means that my mouth is getting bigger. Anyways, I have seen multiple causes for this - but no real cures. Are there any vitamins that I should be taking to help at least prevent this?

2. I have NO energy, I am nearly always half asleep no matter how much I drink cofee.

3. I have no apetite. A few of my meds cause this - but is there something out there that I can take to stimulate my apetite?

4. My immune system sucks eggs - this is due to a few meds too - but is there anything *natural* that I should take to try to boost it?

And on a side note - pay no attention to Zip when she starts yelling at me to go to the doctor - I hate going to the doctors.

;0)

Thanks for any ideas you offer!

I would suggest that you review all the drugs you are taking for side effects, negative interactions and harmful synergies.

My family's just been through an interesting experience with my grandma. We discovered that all of the problems attributed to the infeeblement of old age that she was being drugged for were really induced by the drugs themselves. It was a vicious chain. She was prescribed one drug which caused horrible side effects, then another to treat the side effects, which had it's own negative side effects, then another to treat those side effects and on and on.

So, we got her off the drugs and the change has been remarkable. We've got our old grandmother back. Most of her problems were drug induced.

Be very careful with pharmacuticals. Most doctors just prescribe them like candy and do not understand themselves the damage that they do. They are continually bathed in drug company propaganda and are practically remote controlled by Big Pharma.

So, first research the side effects of every medication you are taking.

Investigate any synergies or negative interactions between the drugs you take.

Identify any drugs that do more harm than good and get them out of your system, ASAP.

Then build your system up through good nutrition. That's the best medicine of all.

That's the plan...the more drugs 'Big Pharma' can sell; the more money they make. They are NOT interested in a cure (see various fund raising scams like 'Race for the Cure'); they are interested in 'managing' your symptoms by filling you with as many pills as they can without killing you...until more customers to replace you come along...then your *ss is expendable. The BEST thing you can do is try to get as much medication out of your life as possible. My wife, on her own, REVERSED her 'Type 2 diabetes' with diet and exercise, even though "doctors" INSISTED that she take the appropriate medications. (We went with our own research, and made contact with an OUTSTANDING nutrionist.) Pharmaceuticals kill thousands and thousands and thousands of people every year. A great site for personal research is News Target...one of the BEST I have ever seen. Click here to check it out. Innieway had another excellent site, but I can't scare it up at the moment.

well on the diabetes.. a lot has to do with diet/weight control.. and the diet given by most docs isnt all that helpful.. eliminate the carbs.. and there will be an improvement.. most diabetic diets still include carbs which of course is the problem.. dealing with sugars.

You're right...they aren't trying to help you; they want you on the medication. One nurse told my wife it was "her JOB to get her on medication". That's a QUOTE! You are dead right about the carbs. I am in my 50's, and my wife in her 40's, and NEITHER of us is on ANY medication. We are told by physicians we work with that finding a couple like that nowadays is nigh impossible. My wife now weighs the same as she did when I met her at the age of seventeen. Eat your heart out, guys. :-)

i do remember reading an article about Germany in WW2.. of course there was a food shortage.. and diabetes was virtually eliminated in Germany .. I searched for the article not seeing it but what I did find which I found interesting was something from some researchers that theorize that the famine in Germany killed off those who have a genetic predisposition for diabetes :P
