Could have been fraud, or more likely the graft and corruption money was spent wisely buying the support of the right people like the Firefighters Union which was very vocal in their support of Lieberman. In the case of Lieberman, I don't think that they had to fix the vote count although if he had been in trouble, it definitely wouldn't have been out of the question. I would agree with you. Lieberman did not need to cheat to get elected - much to the Kossacks' chagrin. Another point is that Joe was a tried and true bacon winner for Connecticut and with Rove and Snowball and Sean pledging their undying support for Joe prior to the elction, if you lived in Connecticut, this was as good a signal as any that a vote for Joe would assure even more pork barrel for the state the next 2 years for sure.
Interesting...so you think that Allen's Jewish maternal heritage was a deliberate slip to the MSM so he could garner more votes from folks of the same religious affiliation? Now that I think of it, Allen's Jewish roots came out in the news AFTER the maccaca scandal. Simple explanation - Allen had a slip of the tongue to describe the East Indian taping him as a darkie. The reason his Jewish roots came up is because he used an obscure slang word only certain Jews use. The Jews in the media would be aware of the word and had to ask how a self described good old boy from Virginia knew such a word? Allen then had to deny being Jewish and stick to the claim he just made up the word because if he admitted being Jewish then he would also have to admit he called the person he insulted a darkie using Jew-slang. His crypto-Jewish origin revelation probably was being held for the presidential race where like Wesley Clark or Hillary Clinton it would be revealed. Sorry to bust any conspiracy bubbles.

George Allen was a terrible everything as Senator. He only did what the Senate was going to do anyway. Jim Webb has the character and potential to be a great Senator. He is at present more conservative than Allen. Interestingly enough Webb does not like affirmative action. Webb is is very curt in his speech, and writes better then he speaks.
I love that a man like Webb was elected. Do Google search for Destro+Webb for all I posted on the man. The attacks on Webb by Allen and the GOP sickened me. I think they forever soured me on the GOP as a party.
