All in all, the mexicans have it right - put it up and leave it up year-round.

Why do we do all this stuff? It's certainly not Biblical or Scriptural in any sense of the Word. God never told us to celebrate anyone's birthday...

This is my least favorite time of the year as I watch people descend into consumer madness buying crap for their family and friends.

Amen, amen, amen! I can't wait until December 26th, so all this madness will be put aside until next year. Hopefully, a nice fat recession in 2007 will put a damper on next year's festivities. The locals are loading up to celebrate the birthday of Jesus (I actually heard someone telling this to their little girl yesterday. I wanted to slap them right upside their empty skull.)
