4um: What's YOUR Terror Score?!?

We all have credit ratings that follow us around like digital shadows. Now, starting this Monday, Dec. 4, every time you leave or enter the United States by air, land, or sea, your own government’s computers will officially judge the probability that you are a terrorist, make that judgement widely available, and keep your terror score on file for 40 years. By assigning you a computer-generated risk assessment based upon your travel pattern, your companions, your method of payment and even the kind of food you eat -- among other, as yet unknown tidbits of data -- the U.S. Department of Homeland security thinks it can make you safer.

Never heard of the Automated Tracking System? That is by design. The information was just published in the Federal Register last week. Care to comment to the government about this new system? It’s too late! The system officially goes into effect Monday, although they’ve unofficially been doing it since 2002. By the way, they’ve attempted this Big Brother tracking sh*t before...

"The government tried to institute the CAPPS II program of ‘risk assessments’ on passengers several years ago, and a huge uproar rightly followed, and the Congress was forced to intervene," says Steinhardt. "We are stunned to learn that DHS is now implementing an even more far-reaching program with virtually no opportunity for the public to evaluate or comment on it."

Or, remember Total Information Awareness? It’s baaaack -- and it goes into effect tomorrow!

To some privacy advocates, the ATS project seemed a resurrection of the Defense Department program known as Total Information Awareness. In that program, federal officials sought to data mine the consumer and banking records of millions of Americans to discern patterns that might point to certain individuals as possible terrorists.

This freshly uncovered travesty has barely been mentioned in the press or blogosphere. It is because this is a Pearl Harbor style sneak attack on our civil liberties by the Orwellian Bu$hCo cabal. Now, aren’t you glad we have those Democrats in charge of Congress? What are they doing about it? So far, nothing! It’s time to hit the phones, friends...

It would be terribly naive to think this information is only gathered on international travellers.

More like anyone who has a valid Social Security number, visits a doctor, has a credit card, has a bank account, pays taxes, has a driver's license, has ANY license, owns a firearm, uses utilities, owns a car, etc, etc, etc.

Ya know, come to think of it, the only people safe from this are probably terrorists and illegal aliens.

They're also the only ones safe from the Infernal Robbery Service. Our StateInc Gestapo only has the nads to go after those easy targets like sovereign countries who pose no threat, or Americans with a permanent address and enough money and property to "seize." [I.E. middle class] Illegals and terrorists need not apply for Gestapo monitoring.

Of course. All these encompassing "security" networks and huge data banks monitor everyone- and thus- no one. When the next "terrorist" attack occurs there will be the usual tap dance about "how" all these news bureaucracies and programs and computer banks "failed" to stop them or warn us. Well- they are called fake IDs- and aliases. Durrr.

This has nothing to do with stopping "Terrorists" and everything to do with growing state power. There is no incentive on the part of the mega state to stop "terrorists". They are the reason their power grows- they are the reason they exist. "Terrorism" is no threat to the state or their power whatsover. "Terrorists" are not going to bring down DC and they know it. And when these hugely expansive and expensive operations and apparati fail utterly to ever stop a terrorist attack it will be glossed over and papered over with the usual crap. Indeed- when they fail- they will then be given even more power as a reward for their failure!

The TSA hasn't stopped a single solitary terrorist or even hampered one. What have they done? Well- to date- they gunned down a panicked clostrophobic passenger as he was running OFF an airplane. They have confiscated millions of dollars of personal items from everyday travellers. They have arressted and prosecuted hundreds of citizens for even questioning their pawing hands and barking commands. In short- they have served their real purpose- installing fear in Americans- turning us into cows and sheep - helpless and in awe of the power of the state.

the reality is, THEY are the terrorists terrorizing we-the-people. anyone who supports them is either selfishly profitting or is willfully stupefied.
