Midge Decter is a Neoconservative writer and speaker. Currently on the board of the Heritage Foundation and the Institute of Religion and Public Life, Ms. Decter is known for her anti-Feminist and hawkish foreign policy views. She is married to Conservative writer and editor Norman Podhoretz.

Norman Podhoretz (born January 16, 1930) is an American intellectual considered to be a prominent neo-conservative thinker and writer. Norman Podhoretz was raised in Brownsville, Brooklyn, a low-income neighborhood in racial transition. Podhoretz's family was left-wing, with his elder sister joining a socialist youth movement. Podhoretz received Bachelor's degrees from both Columbia—where he studied under Lionel Trilling — and the Jewish Theological Seminary. He later received a BA with first-class honors and MA from Cambridge. He served as an editor for Commentary Magazine and in 1960 he replaced Elliot Cohen as editor-in-chief. In 1963 he wrote the influential conservative essay, “My Negro Problem - And Ours."

Twilight Zone: "One For the Angels"
Season 1, Episode 2
First aired: October 9, 1959
by Jason Warren

Starring Ed Wynn, Murray Hamilton, Dana Dillaway, Jay Overholts, Merritt Bohn and Mickey Maga. Written by Rod Serling. Directed by Robert Parrish.

A kindly, good natured sidewalk salesman, a pitchman, named Lewis J. Bookman (Ed Wynn) finds himself unexpectedly visited by one Mr. Death (Murray Hamilton). Mr. Death informs Bookman that his time on Earth is nearing its conclusion. Bookman, however, manages to convince Death to allow him to continue living until he makes that really big pitch he's always dreamed about..."a pitch for the angels". But when Death discovers Bookman plan is to welsh on their agreement, he decides to take a little girl, one of Mr. Bookman's dearest young friends, in his place. What can Mr. Bookman possibly do to convince him otherwise?

This mood and tone of this story is as good natured as its lead character. There's nothing overly menacing or frightening about this tale which might just turn away a few viewers but in terms of moral fantasy, it doesn't get much better than this. The thing that really makes this enjoyable light entertainment is our two leads, Ed Wynn and Murray Hamilton, have such a tremendous chemistry when on screen together. One of those episodes that's truly hard to forget once you've watched it.
