I have seen the first series, and as much as some people would like to call it propaganda, it's not. If you watch the thing, it really does a fantasic job of portraying the characters in a way that not only make them almost sympathetic, but shows the true nature of their motivations.
Now, I'm sure it will be likened to fear mongering, and all that shit, but in all honesty 24 could be considered fear mongering, as well as just about any other action / adventure series. I suppose some of you folks thought the latest Mission Impossible movie was great, and would fail to see the agit prop in that if one were to be so inclined.
It's just a fucking TV show, nothing more. Their ads, and their promotion is supposed to make you want to watch the thing. Seen any good horror films lately??? Something that scares you, is advertized a certain way. I'd be more concerned about a hitchiker with a hockey mask and a machete than an Islamic fundamentalist any day. Why? Because one is crazy in a way that cannot be reasoned with, while the other is a faceless monster that will not stop trying to kill you.
Oh wait.. THEY'RE BOTH THE SAME FUCKING THING WHEN YOU COMPARE THEM. JESUS CHRIST, I GUESS HORROR MOVIES COULD BE A METAPHOR FOR ISLAMIC TERROR!!!
