Whoa! I'm impressed! At least I got the grape fruit one, but I didn't get the Battle of San Jacinto one. I lived in TX off and on more than anywhere else, and took TX history in 7th grade. The battle parts always bored me.

Yes, "Texas, Our Texas" is so very lame, and several years ago the Ruby Red Grapefruit got lobbied in as our state fruit - don't even ask me how the pecan got to be the tree. Glad that y'all played along.

FYI - chili is the state food - arguably, imo More - Texas State Soft Drink: DrPepper Here a Dr. Pepper is a Dr. Pepper, and everything else is a coke...unless of course its... Texas State Non-carbonated Drink: Iced Tea It doesn't matter if it's 30 degrees and snowing, if you order tea it will come with ice in it. If you want hot tea, you better be specific.
