Dead Constitution See other Dead Constitution Articles Title: Homeland Security, UN-Constitutional, Illegal and Dangerous Listening to faux conservative pundits on our airwaves, I am amazed at their duplicity. It seems that trashing the United States Constitution is fine so long as it is a Republican doing the trashing. The Homeland Security bill is the latest frontal assault on our freedom and it is being done by that darling of the faux conservatives, George W. Bush. Hiding behind the specter of a phony and unjustified war against Iraq (while simultaneously ignoring the fact that the Al Qaeda have re-grouped in Pakistan and stand poised to launch yet another major terror attack against our nation), the Bush administration is pandering to the fears of some segments of the American public who believe that safety is more valuable than liberty. Benjamin Franklin said Those who exchange liberty for security will soon find that they have neither. Homeland Security is proof positive of this historically factual statement. Instead of securing our borders and enforcing the laws regarding immigration, (one of the key responsibilities of the President is to ensure that laws are enforced), the Bush administration has instead foisted upon the American people a bill which will in effect strip our nation of its sovereignty, rob the citizenry of its liberties and do little if anything to curb terrorism. The fact that the Bush administrations first target in the war on terror was in fact the Constitution and our Bill of Rights should indicate that Bush is no conservative, he is a globalist just like his father before him, and globalists have no use for a Constitutional Republic or free citizens. Homeland Security will remove from the Congress the control of immigration numbers entering this nation. The Democrats and Republicans are both eyeing the millions of illegal aliens flooding into our country as potential voting blocs to be bought with the promise of amnesty. By placing the sole control of immigration numbers into the hands of the president alone we are inviting a literal invasion of illegal aliens into our nation. While this will spell disaster for our nation, the politicians who support this behavior, as usual, care only about getting elected and staying in powe. The consequences of their improper, illegal and un-Constitutional actions will as usual be foisted upon someone else, namely the American taxpayers. The duplicity of the Bush administration is quite obvious in regards to our national security. While slamming down the iron fist of power on the Constitutional rights of the American citizens, the president has allowed the various agencies under his control to issue visas to thousands of people from the same nations that support and sponsor Islamic Jihad. Our borders are so porous as to be non-existent and the same blundering dolts who handled airport security have now become federalized civil servants all courtesy of the unlimited benevolence of the American taxpayer. Instead of profiling airline travelers, the Bush administration has decided to spy on the American citizens with a secret system called CAPPS II (Computer Assisted Passenger-Prescreening). CAPPS II is designed to create a mega data base integrating both government and private sector databases. Even though the terrorists are exclusively Middle Eastern males, the Bush administration believes that it is the American people who need to be investigated and have their rights destroyed. Either Bush is unaware that the hijackers of 911 were predominantly Saudi Arabians and not American citizens or he is simply abusing the current fear of terror attacks to implement a police state. CAPPS II will have every piece of data ever compiled on you at the disposal of any governmental bureaucracy without a single shred of protection. In addition to this, the PATRIOT act permits the federal government to bypass the Fourth Amendment entirely. Surveillance, wiretapping and complete invasions of privacy no longer require a court issued search warrant. While some may argue that if you have done nothing wrong, you have nothing to worry about, let me give you two words Bill Clinton. As the leader of a legitimate third party here in Texas that happens to be conservative, I remember full well being labeled a terrorist by the Clinton administration because my party had the unmitigated gall to actually believe in the United States Constitution. Because of my outspoken criticism of the phony conservative George Bush, I fully expect the knock in the middle of the night, or perhaps it will be the no-knock in the middle of the night. Either way, thanks to Bush and the un-American cowards who cheerlead for his Homeland Security measures, our civil rights are gone. Our status as free citizens is even being terrorized by the Bush administration in regard to our health care, the Model State Emergency Health Powers Act or MSEHPA will authorize federal officials to forcibly inject us with any drug, vaccine or serum they desire. Refusal to receive this treatment will be grounds for our public servants to seize and or destroy our property without compensation. Any time weve seen these seizure powers given to bureaucrats we know that they seize first and ask questions later. Remember also that seizure laws allow public servants to bypass the due process of law, thus all it takes is an accusation and you can be stripped of your every possession. Not satisfied to tyrannize us with the law, King George is also going to enlist the military by requiring military support to civil authorities. As a veteran, let me go on record as saying that the military are a fine bunch of people but they have no business whatsoever engaging in law enforcement. The reason for this is simple, soldiers are trained to kill and destroy, not arrest and investigate. It is bad enough that we have SWAT teams conducting military style assaults on innocent civilians (remember the phrase innocent until proven guilty?), but now they are going to have access to military support. Homeland Security is primary Bush doctrine, it is raw and naked aggression against the free citizens of the United States, citizens whom public servants are supposed to serve. It is obvious that Bush, like the other faux conservatives in Washington and indeed, not at all unlike the tyrannical liberals across the aisle have no respect for the American citizens who are in fact their masters and employers. Rather we are simply their subjects and any of us who dare dissent are labeled as supporters of terrorism.
