National Guard unit stormed while patroling the border

A U.S. Border Patrol entry Identification Team site was overrun Wednesday night along Arizona's border with Mexico.

According to the Border Patrol, an unknown number of gunmen attacked the site in the state's West Desert Region around 11 p.m. The site is manned by National Guardsmen. Those guardsmen were forced to retreat.

The Border Patrol will not say whether shots were fired. However, no Guardsmen were injured in the incident.

The Border Patrol says the incident occurred somewhere along the 120 mile section of the border between Nogales and Lukeville. The area is known as a drug corridor. Last year, 124-thousand pounds of illegal drugs were confiscated in this area.

The Border patrol says the attackers quickly retreated back into Mexico.

Thank you for posting.

Just saw this report on another forum where it is actually getting attention.

Add keywords to your headline next time like "aspartame, wayne madison, dildo, sex, shadow people and rods" and your posting of article will garner more attention...

/sad but true 'chuckle'.

Tell the rabble to be quiet, we anticipate a riot.

This common crowd, is much too loud.

Iranians. Iranians in the wire!

Obviously Iran is launching a full-scale attack on the U.S. We need to nuke them before it's too late.

Like when Poland started WW2 by attacking Germany.

I just came across this, but some think open borders are just dandy. I'd have no problem blowing these invaders out of their socks.

I don't know. I get nervous. Sometimes I think we are a paper tiger, what with the Dems now eager to pull out of Iraq so we can lose another war. Part of me wonders if the United States would use a nuclear weapon even if Iran used one against us. I can imagine this: Atlanta is vaporized by a nuclear weapon. In his message, Ahmadinejad tells the Americans that Boston will be next unless 10 percent of the population converts to Islam. Boston liberals flock to the mosques. Ahmadinejad then moves from city to city with the same offer. Meanwhile, the media and academics urge conversion as a way to understand the Iranians, who are reacting to our own aggression. Some communities make anti-Islamic comments hate crimes. Police and the military surround mosques to protect them against "armed racist militants."

Yeah, it sounds silly, but people do interesting things when confronted with the concept of "convert or die."

The Guard retreats from drug dealing Mexican invaders, but facilitated the Waco murders. Real heroes!

The modified Posse Comitatus act specifically provides for the use of the Guard, in the case of drug enforcement/smuggling - what the fuck is wrong, in this picture?? Our troops can operate in South America, but not in the USA??

exactly. I'm not sure, but I don't think these national guard troops on the border even carry guns. Maybe I'm wrong. but they are restrained. They shouldn't be. we should've fired on these mexican military people that have made incursions the last few years. There have been multiple incidents. There have been dead border patrol agents in these incidents also.

The area is known as a drug corridor. Last year, 124-thousand pounds of illegal drugs were confiscated in this area.

Just 2 nights ago I was watching BBC News and BBC did a special report on the drug/people smuggling problem using the California border, the underground flood water conduits, as the example. One of the border guards took the reporter underground and showed him all the empty backbacks and bags left in the tunnel which was prima facie evidence of drug smuggling.

Then catch this - the film crew showed that the sewer cap ( entrance/exit) from the underground flood water tunnel was located half a block from the US Border station. And the cap was not locked down or even given any extra gaurd attention.

And I'm wondering to myself - why am I seeing this investigative report on BBC News and not on American MSM ( apart from Lou Dobbs' reports)????

Good gravy. Why should we care? We're going to give the illegals Social Security now. Didn't anyone read the big article that was posted last week? How about the link on The Drudge Report???

http://www.washtimes.com/national/20070104-120950-4277r.htm

Or how about Sylvester Stallone selling out???

http://www.breitbart.com/news/2007/01/05/D8MF698O0.html

Why do people even care about sovereignty, when the goddamned people who we supposedly elected don't? It's about amalgamation, and acclimation to a lesser standard of living, so that one very small minority can be wealthy beyond our wildest dreams, and the rest of us can toil as slaves.

This country's priorities are all fucked up.

Depends on who is pulling the strings.

If the Governor calls them out, they can do whatever they need to.

If they are Federalized, then they are restrained.
