The article quoted Jerry Martin, sheriff in Dolores County, CO, saying "They all talked about the end of the world...They even had their own name for it -- Vampire 2000."

Vampire Killer 2000 is a publication by patriot leader and former Arizona law enforcement officer, Jack McLamb who runs Police Against the New World Order. I read a long time ago that the purpose of the Y2K scare, was to terrorize American taxpayers into footing the bill for repairing the glitch and for wiring the third world, "for the good of all" [or rather, for the banksters who seek a One World Cashless Society].
