Twelve-year-old boy blows up self, US Marine in al-Khalidiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 5:44pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that that the US military admitted that one Marine had been killed when a 13-year-old fida’i fighter blew himself up by the American in the city of al-Khalidiyah, about 85km west of Baghdad.

The al-Khalidiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the radio station that broadcasts locally on behalf of the US occupation forces reported that a boy had carried out the martyrdom attack, blowing himself up after the American had let him approach because of his young age.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the boy’s name was Safa’ Husayn and that he was 12, not 13 as the American statement had claimed. The boy put an explosive on his back and when he approached the American, he detonated it, killing himself and he US Marine. The Americans took the body of the boy and as of the time of reporting had still not handed it over to his family.

Ar-Ramadi.

Three US troops reported killed in Grad rocket attack on American patrol in ar-Ramadi Friday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 4:02pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier, Iraqi Resistance forces had fired a Grad rocket into a US military vehicle in the middle of ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the al-Mal‘ab neighborhood as saying that Resistance fighters fired a Grad rocket from a home-made launcher into a patrol of four Humvees. The rocket directly struck the third Humvee, totally destroying it and killing three American soldiers aboard. The witnesses confirmed that the other Americans immediately closed the road from the residential area into the al-Mal‘ab district in order to haul away the wreckage of their vehicle and the remains of the bodies of their men.

Al-Fallujah.

US troops storm houses, arrest 50 students in al-Fallujah Thursday night.

In a dispatch posted at 3:32pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US troops accompanied by their Iraqi puppet army allies carried out a campaign of mass arrests in al-Fallujah, 60km west of Baghdad, on Thursday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the Americans and their Iraqi puppet allies particularly targeted the al-Jawlan neighborhood of al-Fallujah, surprising local people late at night when they suddenly began blasting down house doors with percussion grenades.

The Americans and their allies arrested at least 50 local residents, claiming that they were all “wanted persons.” In fact, the correspondent reported, all those rounded up by the Americans were students in intermediate school. The US troops put all the young people in one of their armored vehicles and drove them off to the American al-Mazra‘ah (“the Farm”) base located east of the city.

Resistance fighters blast US sniper post in al-Fallujah with Grad rockets Thursday afternoon, reportedly killing three US Marines.

In a dispatch posted at 3:19pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces mounted a rocket attack on a US position in al-Fallujah, 60km west of Baghdad on Thursday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported shopkeepers in the Industrial Zone of the city who witnessed the attack as saying that the target of the Resistance assault was a house overlooking the Industrial Zone that US Marines had taken over and turned into a sniper outpost. The witnesses said that Resistance fighters mounted a Grad rocket launcher on a Brazilian-made car. They positioned the car so that when they raised the hood – making it look as if the car were having engine trouble – the Americans in the outpost were unable to see that a rocket launcher was operating within the car.

The Resistance fighters fired four Grad rockets from the car directly into the US-held outpost, destroying a large part of the structure. Plumes of smoke rose over the stricken house where three American Marines – specifically the snipers – were killed. The correspondent reported that after the assault, the US forces closed the main street to all passers by and also shut down the checkpoint at the entrance to the camp (for employees) from Thursday afternoon until Friday morning – indicating that there might have been still more casualties.

Baghdad.

Increased US forces deploy in Sunni areas on streets of Baghdad Friday.

In a dispatch posted at 2:55pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces deployed in increased numbers in Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that US military vehicles were posted at intersections and at the ends of streets leading to predominantly Sunni districts. The American troops, backed by puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” have set up checkpoints in the middle of streets.

US forces have been reportedly harassing Sunnis headed out to say Friday congregational prayers in mosques. They subject them to searches going as far as forcing some to take off their headscarves.

US troops arrest 32 in extensive raids in western Baghdad Friday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 2:12pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation troops carried out extensive raids and arrests targeting Sunni houses in western Baghdad beginning at dawn on Friday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that US troops carried out raids in the districts of al-‘Amiriyah and al-‘Adl, arresting 32 people, rangin in age from 17 to 50 years. The correspondent reported that the Americans terrified residents by using police dogs when storming into houses. The US troops also seized household possessions from the homes they raided. Local people accused the American troops of stealing cash and gold jewelry.

Samarra’.

Resistance bomb leave US Marine reported dead in Samarra’ Friday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 2:43pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US Marine foot patrol in the middle of Samarra’, about 120km north of Baghdad at 9:15am local time on Friday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road to the flourmill in the city. Eyewitnesses of the attack said that the blast killed one US Marine and wounded three more of them. The puppet police source, who asked to remain anonymous, said that one of the wounded Marines lost his leg in the explosion.

Diyala Province.

Ba‘qubah.

Puppet “National Guards” make mass arrests near Ba‘qubah Friday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 5:24pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi puppet army forces carried out a campaign of arrests of civilians in Diyala Province east of Baghdad on Friday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the Hibhib area east of Ba‘qubah, about 65km northeast of Baghdad as saying that puppet “Iraqi National Guards” arrested at least 30 local residents there on the pretext that they were affiliated with the Iraqi Resistance. All were taken off to an unknown destination. The witnesses reported that the puppet troops smashed furniture and beat up youths in the houses they raided, while shouting immoral and sectarian things at the women.

Al-Mawsil.

Resistance bomb reportedly kills US soldier in al-Mawsil Friday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 4:15pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol in the northern city of al-Mawsil on Friday morning.

The al-Mawsil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of the al-Yarmuk section of the city as saying that a bom that had been planted by the side of a road went off next to a US patrol, completely destroying an American vehicle and killing one US soldier aboard. A second American soldier was wounded. The witnesses said that the Americans then closed off the area for two hours, during which time they hauled away the wrecked vehicle and evacuated their casualties.
