Dead Constitution See other Dead Constitution Articles Title: The United States has already won in Iraq The United States has already won in Iraq The original intention of Operation Iraq was to prevent the use of Weapons of Mass Destruction against that region. We never found any Weapons of Mass Destruction. Then we changed the mission into deposing Saddam Hussein. Saddam Hussein has been hanged. These stated missions have been accomplished. American should ask this: WHAT WOULD HAVE TO HAPPEN BEFORE WE WOULD CONCLUDE THAT WE SHOULD LEAVE IRAQ? While we are "chasing terrorists" in their own country, what are we doing about the thousands who walk across our own borders every day? Americans have already won the Operation in Iraq. NOW Bush is hinting that we must resolve all of the internal disputes in Iraq. How did the internal disputes in Iraq become our problem? What gives us the RIGHT, or the DUTY, to resolve all of the internal disputes in Iraq? Iraq is accustomed to conflicts lasting longer than USA has been a country. Our sons and daughters (i.e., soldiers) must come home today and receive a hero's welcome. The President's spokesman, Tony Snow, made the statement to a press conference that the President would not shape the USA's foreign policy based upon American opinion. That means the President no longer believes in representative government in the USA; instead, he chooses a dictatorship. Americans made it very clear about their opinion concerning a continued Operation in Iraq. They said, "No more war." Congress heard the people with the recent election. The message was very clear. The National Association of Governors must come forward and articulate the problem along with our representatives in Congress. Billions of dollars are at stake. American lives are at stake. The behavior of our President's policy makers is that of the bully on the playground who mandates, "My way or no way." Contact your representatives and send them a message: End this war now! http://capwiz.com/jbs/home/ While we are defending freedom, we should ask: Which freedoms are we defending? Would that be the right of Habeas corpus? Would that be the right to keep and bear arms? Would that be the freedom of religious expression? Would that be the freedom to travel without carrying papers; which will be inspected at police checkpoints? Would that be the freedom to criticize the President, or other government officials, without being accused of violating the Patriot Act, and considered a possible terrorist? Would that be the freedom to mention the Constitution in any district court without being held in contempt? Would that be the freedom to discipline your children without having them kidnapped by the Department of Social Services, and held hostage until you receive approved psychological therapy, and are deemed acceptable? Would that be the freedom to be secure from warrentless searches, according to the fourth amendment? Would that be the freedom to be secure from warrentless telephone tapping, or email monitoring, or censorship of the internet? Would that be the freedom to move about in public places without being monitored by hundreds of surveillance cameras, watched by federal security forces? Would that be the freedom to have "anti-government" bumper stickers on your car, without being stopped by police who have been trained by the FBI in "bumper sticker profiling" ? Would that be the freedom not to have your property seized under "civil forfeiture" laws; which make it possible to take anything that you own, by alleging that it was "intended" to be used for the commission of a crime? Would that be freedom from oppressive taxation? Would that be freedom to have a trial by jury instead of before an "administrative law judge" ? We hope this message gets past the Department of Homeland security approved internet filter. Now let us defend freedom! For the origin of our position on "Weapons of Mass Destruction" read Department of State Publication 7277; which has been in effect since September of 1961 visit http://www.mikenew. com/pub7277. html OR http://members. http://tripod.com/ ~Bill_Fisher/ jbsapr91. html If you want of "cut to the chase" just read the last page. At the end, you will find this blunt summary: "In Stage III progressive controlled disarmament and continuously developing principles and procedures of international law would proceed to a point where no state would have the military power to challenge the progressively strengthened U.N. Peace Force and all international disputes would be settled according to the agreed principles of international conduct." OUR REAL MISSION IS TO EMPOWER THE UNITED NATIONS!
