MOBILIZATION AGAINST THE WAR -- JANUARY 27, 2007 Join us in Washington, DC for the anti-war march on Washington on Saturday, Jan. 27. 2007. Peace groups, labor unions, religious groups, progressive, and other organizations are mobilizing their members across the nation for what may be the largest anti-war march this city has seen since the days of the Vietnam War. More information found at: http://www.unitedforpeace.org.
Past anti-war marches have been downplayed by the corporate elite media which has echoed the bogus march totals supplied by the National Park Service and DC Metro police. However, these dissemblers of the truth cannot ignore 1 million people in the streets.
If you come into town on Friday night, January 26, join this editor, John Caylor from www.insider-magazine.com, and our other colleagues at a 6 pm informal meet-up at Dr. Dremo's Taphouse, 2001 Clarendon Blvd., Arlington, VA.
Directions from Courthouse Metro Station on the Orange Line: Located less than 1000 feet from the Court House station. Come out of the station and take a right onto Clarendon Blvd. Follow Clarendon Blvd. past Wendy's & Taco Bell and you will see Dr. Dremo's on the left. Look for the totem pole.
Driving: Key Bridge from Georgetown to Wilson Blvd route: dont go down into tunnel-stay above & veer right onto Wilson Blvd. Parking: Free parking lot on premises (a rarity in the DC area). If lot is full, meters on street are free after 6 pm.
We will have WMR bumper stickers and a few copies of "Jaded Tasks" available for sale and signing.
