Sometimes its hard to be a woman
Giving all your love to just one man
You'll have bad times
And he'll have good times
Doing things that you don't understand

Stand by your man
Give him two arms to cling to
And something warm to come to
When nights are cold and lonely
Stand by your man
And tell the world you love him
Keep giving all the love you can
Stand by your man
But if you love him, you'll forgive him
Even though he's hard to understand
And if you love him
Oh! be proud of him
'Cause after all he's just a man

Stand by your man
Give him two arms to cling to
And something warm to come to
When nights are cold and lonely
Stand by your man
And tell the world you love him
Keep giving all the love you can
Stand by your man

Stand by your man
And show the world you love him
Keep giving all the love you can
Stand by your man!!!

WIVES AND LOVERS-great song and one of Jack Jones' best recordings. (Who is the chick singing that?)

Most people only know him as the singer of THE LOVE BOAT theme, but even Frank Sinatra called him the greatest jazz singer in the world.

My group did the song back when the Earth was young (71-72) when we did dinner music early, then the floor show.

Those were the days, and it was playing that type of music that separated me from my buddies back home who never did travel or see the lights.....

Hey Dawg...if you haven't already seen "CARS"...you have to rent it!!! I liked it as much as my kids because of it's underlying theme...the destruction of small town America..and of course Route 66.

..."CARS"....

I'll buy the DVD then.

I enjoy turbo diesel trucks and 50,000 lb sled pulls, and I'll get a kick out of this movie.

Thanks for the tip.

Route 66.

Recently I've been traveling from Springfield, Il to St. Louis Mo on Route 55. Out of curiosity I took Rt. 4 from Springfield to St. Louis. Route 4 is the same as old 66.

55 is nothing but farmland. 66 was pretty much one little town bordering another. That's when I realized how much of America has been bypassed by the interstates. Everyone is in too much of a hurry.
