NFL Gets Its Panties in a Bunch Over Jesus and Big TVs While the church fouled for sure (again, sorry) by initially planning to charge for the bash, even after making the event free to all who worship, the NFL refused to budge, saying the church's plans to show the game on a projector weren't kosher. What's strange here is the NFL's claim that copyright law "limits it to one TV no bigger than 55 inches." Budding lawyers out there, is this just BS? Does this just apply to public viewings? Watching the game on a massive TV with lots of friends and even more booze is what the Super Bowl's all about, or at least that's what I've heard. I hate football. NFL won't let church show game [CNN/SI via Fark] 
In a truly noble move, Fall Creek Baptist Church in Indianapolis tried to bring football and Jesus together on Super Bowl Sunday, before having its plans sacked (sorry, obligatory pun) by the NFL.

It's photochopped alright, but the NFL or anyone else has no right to tell anyone they can not freely show a public broadcast on as large a screen as they want. If their is such a law, it wouldn't surprise me. Welcome to Stalag 13..i.e. amErIKa. They used to show films outdoors on the side of a giant building at a boys camp in the Hill Country back in the 60's when I was at camp. What changed between then and now? Can you say CorporoFascism?
