Let's examine this 'what if'.

Let's say that Nader didn't run in 2000. The guy got 90,000 votes in Florida so, absent uncle Ralphie, Gore would have beaten the stupid Bush. Let's examine today's present:

- The price of gas might have more than doubled over the 2000 level to like... $2 per gallon, maybe more.
- You would see safe-sex marriages becoming almost mainstream.
- No invasion of Iraq, whatsoever.
- No half-trillion budget deficits each year. Possibly still a surplus.
- 90% fewer active and armed 'anti-American' ey-rabs as compared with what we got today.
- One U.S. Dollar worth more than one Euro.
- Hillary would not have a chance at the presidency in 2008.
- The people and Israel-loving GOP's still a majority in both houses of congress.
- Roe v. Wade not overturned by the supreme court.
- The Chinese running huge trade surpluses with us.
- North Korea not a nukular power.
- 9/11 not happening.

Of course, no one would have the slightest idea what America could have turned into if stupid Bush won.

With Lieberman as the VP? I dunno, I am in the camp that invading Iraq was simply on the calendar though the rational would have been for humanitarian reasons, to build a democracy which is America's historic mission like civil rights and because Saddam was mean, as points one, two, three, and WMDs as the fourth reason.

I haven't thought of Lieberman but, pre-Bush, it was quite unconcievable to invade other countries without reason unless it was done 'gang-rape' style, with all the NATO token armies in tow.

It's possible that Gore would have finessed the NATOs to join the US on an Iraq invasion but it is not very likely. Saddam would have hinted at setting his oil wells on fire and destroy the environment and that would have stopped Gore.

Antiparty - find out why, think about 'how'
