I beg your pardon? So youre saying when you say something that people believe is outrageous or whatever and others point it out... that the 'forum' is "narrowing focus views" ? As I've said b/f, if you want or feel that viewpoints should be expanded upon it's in your court.. no one else has a responsibility to do so.. if you want to expand on viewpoints have at it.. if it's something of interest people will be engaged in a discussion .. if not it will die.. so dont try to imply that it's the fault of the forum or me or Christine .. for you, it's 'mirror time' ..
I am very proud of that fact. Why would you see this as a mark of shame? Being banned by Freerepublic and libertypost is an honor. My views have always been consistent and not simply contrarian. AGAviator has known my posting history and he can vouch for that at least.

We live in a world of clever and methodically manufactured consensus - ala Effer & ElPee. If there's any true consensus - of any kind - on this forum, it goes to the legacy of the inside-job of 9-11. This forum is everything that Effer & ElPee claimed to be - then methodically betrayed. Sure, this forum has a narrow focus on the truth - as God knows it. I hope no one has any objections there.
Liberty Forum is the cyber-equivalent of an abandoned property that has been taken over by street people where people have contests to see who can scream the loudest and the longest. You have an "absentee landlord," and at least 3 different cults who abuse the post ratings system to build their own group up and tear down any opposition. If this is an example of "Libertarianism" in action, I heartily recommend anyone who is remotely interested in "Libertarianism" to see first-hand how it works in the real world.
There are a few good forums out there for those right of center and this one is not so bad but they are not influential - just a place where what is left of the true right movement not attached to kooks like race supremacists and the like can go and vent. For the foreseeable future the only right wing websites that will matter in terms of influence are the Bush bot Christian Zionist rapture is nigh Freeper types. The left wing has Dailykos - an impressive web forum community made up of smart posters and rational people even if I disagree with their politics for the most part.

Sure, this forum has a narrow focus on the truth - as God knows it. I hope no one has any objections there. Well said Sky. There can be no consensus on a "wide" view of the Truth, for it then becomes something other than truth. The Truth is as it is. It is the job of all writers and scientists to start WIDE and to gradually NARROW their thoughts and mental focus until the essay or hypothesis is refined, and the Truth is discovered...not the other way around. Songs, essays, persuasive writing, the scientific method...all begin as vague and all encompassing and gradually reveal their truths through elimination and eventual specificity.

Yes, this forum is much more tolerant of foul language, but there are limits. It is not a family forum nor does it claim to be one like LP does though. So there is no hypocrisy among the owners of the forum here that I can see.

The Truth is really quite a simple thing. It is the exact time, place, form, and event. Any alteration to any one of those four elements is an alteration of the i.e., it is a lie. Having said that the truth can sometimes be an elusive critter. It is not that it is not possible to know it but that it can be obscured or less than obvious on a first glance. One source I know of is the documentaries on British tv stations which are broadcast all over Europe, as they do like to portray that about Americans. It has nothing to do with reality, they are a total distortion designed to make Europeans hate Americans (on a personal level at that) even more than they already do. Don't fall for the propaganda because that's exactly what it is. This country is being purposely brought down and too many of it's people are pawns in the process.

I find that mindset very odd. And people like that really do feel that way. I think that a person who signs on the internet and makes a point of showing people an unpleasant side is OCD. It's just as easy to be likeable and respectful of others' feelings, but, like a kid who plays with the phone by crank calling when mom is out hanging up laundry, it isn't as much fun I guess. The operative word is kid. Some are compulsive booger eaters, and some are "vastly superior to the rest of us". ;)
