I'd imagine there will be a lot of dual membership going on, so that the true Americans at ElPee can come over here & say what they want to BAC. That should be a long line. I came over here after Goldi-Rob gave me a 2 week "timeout" for posting a video link from http://antiwar.com in the "Breaking News." I'd have to say that current information from a website with hundreds of thousands of page views certainly qualifies as "News." She's clearly annoyed by certain posters views, but does seem to make some slight effort to tolerate them. But it's a lot of work for her, and shouldn't have to be...
She banned me over an article highly critical of the minutemen. She is a fat rumped commando of the soft chair and munching of bonbons. She is a legend in her own mind and lies on elpee's welcome page regarding the joint being an open forum. You are indeed better off not wasting your time at her place.
Goldi is a fat and ugly control freak - period. She wouldn't know a levelled playing field, if she was buried in one. Her issues have nothing to do with any civility; it's about consensus control, via whatever it takes. She's essentially an unregistered agent for Israel; nothing more or less. No problem, anymore.
Goldi is a freeper who just fell out on the current freeper orthodoxy - like when 2 commies disagree one being Stalinist the other Trotskyite. As the immigration issue dies - and it will die - especially since the immigration foes have started to sound like the 'Rum, Romany and Revolution' anti Irish-Catholic bigots of a hundred years ago - so will her website die. This website is not much better sadly in that it also seeks to narrow focus views rather than expand them and reach consensus.

The immigration issue is already settled. I know that, because I'm the father of 3 blond, fair-skinned kids and 2 of them are in elementary school. The good news, if there is any, is there are lots of Hispanics who are trying to be good people, and hopefully the successful ones among them will be able to keep the riff-raff in line. I work with a Hispanic woman who can keep right up with me, and I have a Hispanic renter who is always pays me cash, is never late, and never complains about anything. They also hold key positions in government and law enforcement, and to a lesser degree in business and law. The psychotic gun-worshipping Know-Nothings muttering about a Civil War are going to get squashed pretty quickly if they do try anything. After all, how many boxes of .223 ammo can you carry moving around on foot? Put them in your vehicle and expect to get stopped at a roadblock. Go out in the country and they'll seal off the area and bring out the helicopters with infrared sensors. They may be able to cause some problems with IED's, and then they'll be lifting a page from the jihadi playbook, LOL.
Site administrators do engage in a lot of thankless and time-consuming work, but good software and quality posters are really critical for the success of any forum, and you have to be able to attract both to make your site successful.

Been there, done that. Thing is, it wasn't REALLY permanent. I don't know why she decided to unban me, and I had no notification that I was unbanned, but out of curiousity one day I tried to login and I found that I was able to. If you ARE the real Ooser, then perhaps she'll soften up over time and do the same, who knows..

From further digging, it appears that Amendment 187 was an amendment to another amendment which was an amendment to yet another amendment, which was eventually tabled. Or so it was reported by a person who apparently knew a bit more about the legislative process than most..

Good luck here, you may be on island alone on alot of your positions. Gosh it really is you. I was surprised you were banned as you were on there for such a long time, and I have to say you were never crude. It won't be as bad here as you think, people here tend to be civil for the most part. I think you and Destro will get along quite well and you will find you have a lot in common! It won't seem the same without ROFLOL! and KOOK! though, but it will still be fun that you're here, I think.

Since it would be considered an opinion piece I can see her point, but I have seen worse abuses that resulted in nothing other than the piece being removed from the ticker. If she were consistent in enforcing her policies it would be one thing but the sometimes capricious way it comes across does rankle. How I have avoided getting disappeared I don't know. Possibly because she launched a couple of attacks at me and I pinned her ears back by confronting her with facts that backed up my position. For whatever reason I haven't though.
