Presidential Hopeful Barack Obama was surrounded by the "Investigate 9/11" Question during an otherwise energetic-- and, for a "grassroots" campaign, curiously well-coordinated-- campaign rally in Austin, Texas.

Members of the University of Texas student group The Project for a New American Century brought the large sign seen in photographs and video hoping to remind Obama that he-- and any other Presidential candidates in 2008-- will continue to be confronted on a new investigation for the largest crime on U.S. soil in history.

While his over-looking such non-politically correct issues is not surprising, we continue to hope that candidates will listen to over-whelming demands for better answers and truth.

The first term senator recently responded to the concerns of an Infowars reader over 'government complicity in the 9/11 attacks.' The response is largely evasive, falling back on the 'government blunders and mistakes' account of the Official 9/11 story. That response is posted below.

May Senator Obama not turn his back on 9/11 Inquiries in the future.

THIS RESPONSE FROM SEN. OBAMA, AS PREVIOUSLY REPORTED:

Democrat Presidential frontrunner Senator Barack Obama has responded to a question posed by an Infowars reader regarding government complicity in the September 11th 2001 terrorist attacks.

Three months after the reader sent Obama a correspondence outlining her great concern that criminal elements of the government were directly complicit in the attacks, the Senator sent the following response via email, which was then forwarded to us:

Dear Penny:

Thank you for contacting me regarding your belief that the U.S. government was complicit in the terror attacks of September 11, 2001. I appreciate hearing your passionate views on this matter.

While I do not believe the U.S. government was complicit in the attacks, I do think it should be held accountable for the unacceptable mistakes it made in the run-up to that terrible day. The blunders that occurred prior to the 2001 attacks were inexcusable and often outrageous. The series of clear warnings about the potential use of hijacked planes as weapons is just one example of why the "surprise" of 9/11 should have been anticipated. In my view, proof of government complicity is not necessary when making the argument that the U.S. should accept some responsibility for what happened on 9/11.

Thank you again for writing.

Sincerely,

Barack Obama United States Senator

This really doesn't cut the cheese or the mustard, Obama.

Grow a pair, separate yourself from the tools, and call for a REAL investigation.

Thanks, lodwick

With a name like Barak Obama, he has to tread ever so lightly when it comes to 9-11 truth to not give the Fox Noise Machine and GOP spinners an opportunity to mindlessly conflate "Obama" with "Osama" in the sheeple's minds.

So, I can understand his trepidation. Given his vulnerability in this regard, his rather forceful anti-war stand is to his credit. Could and should he go farther? Absolutely. But he's a newby at this and is feeling his way through while trying not to make any rash moves or campaign up-ending mistakes. As such, I'm inclined to cut him a bit of slack.

Nice job, Austin, by the way, for making 9-11 truth visible at the Obama event. You always come through for America and America thanks you.
