On the day 9-11 happened I was watching CNN. It was early afternoon here so it was early evening on the East Coast.

What was weird though is they were trying to figure out what happened, and the woman reporter said she just got information that Afganistan had something to do with it, and bombs were flying in Kabul. She said something like, "Now we will switch to our correspondent in Kabul..." and then there was a reporter standing on a street there, and he was saying bombs were flying in the background, that something was going on, possibly retaliation for the attacks earlier in the day in NYC and DC. Then they switched back to the woman reporter in the states, and then back to him, and he then said something like, "Nevermind, these bombs are the result of a civil war in this country." And that was the end of that.

I wondered what that was all about, why they just so happened to have a CNN reporter in Kabul, and why a few minutes later he said nevermind about the bombs.

BeAChooser, do you have any kind of explanation for that? I thought it was odd.
