That headline is wrong. Real conservatives have been kicked out of the GOP. Creatures like Ann Coulter and Newt Gingrich have stolen the name, as has the religious right. True conservatives want religion out of government, want a smaller government, want less spending, want less adventurism overseas, want a fair system that allows everyone to improve their lives.

The present brand of "conservatives" wants none of that. They're insane, vicious, brutal hatemongers. Barry Goldwater gave up on them a long time ago.
