Holt wants hearings on FBI anthrax investigation

AP

TRENTON --Rep. Rush Holt (D-Princeton) wants hearings into what he says is a lack of headway in the FBI's investigation into the deadly anthrax attacks of 2001.

"It seems to me this investigation is not making progress. I can't say for sure. They won't brief me," Holt told The Times of Trenton for Saturday newspapers.

"Not briefing Congress on the status of the probe into the biggest biological attack in United States history is inexcusable," he said.

The anthrax attacks through the postal system killed five people across the country and sickened 17 in the weeks after Sept. 11, 2001. Investigators have not determined who was responsible for the attacks.

Over the years, Holt has been a vocal critic of the bureau's handling of the case, especially because anthrax contamination was found in mail facilities in and near Holt's district.

Holt on Friday called on four committee chairmen and one subcommittee chairman in the House to hold oversight hearings into the investigation. His request may carry more weight now that his party is in the majority in Congress.

Several earlier attempts to receive information failed. In September and October 2006, Holt formally requesting that the FBI brief Congress on the investigation. He was denied.

In December, a bipartisan group of 32 House and Senate members called on Attorney General Alberto R. Gonzales to direct that the FBI brief Congress on the investigation. That request was also denied.

Richard J. Kolko, a bureau spokesman, defended the handling of the anthrax probe, saying it is "one of the largest and most complex" ever conducted. He said the investigation is still a high priority.

Instead of destroying Dr. Hatfill's life and reputation, the FBI should have investigated the one person who was caught entering the anthrax storage area at Fort Detrick without authorization before the Big Lie (9/11) and anthrax attack; and BTW has everyone noticed how, after the anthrax attack on certain of our "representatives," they just laid down and rolled over for BushCo?

All people have to do is google: "unauthorized entry anthrax" (for anyone who is interested).

Friday, February 10, 2006 Bioterror The anthrax attacks of 2001 and nerve agent scare of 2006 help to clarify and explain what is happening to our country.

The anthrax attacks -- which were sent along with notes purportedly written by Islamic terrorists -- used a weaponized anthrax strain from the top U.S. bioweapons facility, the Fort Detrick military base. Indeed, top bioweapons experts have stated that the anthrax attack may have been a CIA test "gone wrong"; and see this article by a former NSA and naval intelligence officer.

Interestingly, White House staff began taking the anti-anthrax medicine before the Anthrax attacks occurred.

Moreover, the only congress people mailed anthrax-containing letters were key Democrats, and the attacks occurred one week before passage of the freedom-curtailing Patriot Act, which seems to have scared them and the rest of congress into passing that act without even reading it (this is not a partisan issue, since this author believes that party affiliation is not a reliable indicator of loyalty to the Constitution; rather, the senators targeted just happened to pose a threat in 2001 to passage of the Patriot Act).

History appears to be repeating itself this week. Only hours after sensors in a U.S. Senate office building detected a nerve agent, key Senators suddenly reversed direction and announced a capitulation to the White House's demands on the renewal and expansion of the Patriot Act.

The anthrax attacks and nerve agent "scare" help to illustrate that America's enemies are inside the gates, and that they are more than willing to use scare tactics and even false flag terror methods to achieve their objectives.

While 9/11 was mainly aimed at the American people, the anthrax attacks and nerve gas scare were apparently aimed at Congress. Specifically, the bioterror scares appear to have been launched in order to instill sufficient fear and disruption among the few remaining legislators who still honor the Constitution that they would be willing to let the Patriot Act be passed and then reenacted without real analysis or debate.

Without 9/11, the American public would not have given in to the Bush administration's imperial agenda. Without the bioterror scares, Congress would not have let the Constitution be demolished so quickly. A few legislators would probably have successfully stood against the Patriot Act, or at least demanded that that law be read and analyzed before it was adopted.

Indeed, America is not alone in playing this game. Draconian "anti-terror" legislation recently passed in England right after a bioterror scare.

All people have to do is google: "unauthorized entry anthrax" (for anyone who is interested).

but w/o the quotes

http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/anthraxsuspect.html

The FBI knows of a man who was caught entering the lab where the Anthrax used in the letters was kept, after he had been fired for a racially motivated attack on a co-worker. So, why is the FBI wasting its time with Steven Hatfill?

News Story identifying Dr. Philip Zack as the man caught entering the Anthrax storage area at Fort Detrick without authorization.

In this story, it is reported that Dr. Zack was caught on a security tape making an unauthorized entry into the Anthrax storage area.

Foreign press picks up story that Anthrax letters were sent by American bio-war scientist ... and that the FBI is dragging its feet on the case.

FBI'S PRIME SUSPECT ON ANTHRAX LETTERS IS JEWISH! No wonder they were dragging their feet.

Salon's story of the attempt to frame Dr. Ayaad Assaad, an Egyptian, for the Anthrax letters

Already the hate email is pouring in insisting that coverage of this story is "anti-Semitic". Clearly, a certain nation is terrified of this story getting wide coverage.
