Uruguay to Study Kissinger Extradition Request Montevideo, March 25 (Prensa Latina) The Uruguayan justice will begin studying on Monday an arrest and extradition order against ex US secretary of State Henri Kissinger.
Prosecutor Mirtha Guianze will analyze the documents related to the request, in the framework of the case known as "Second Flight," said a well-known investigator.
The arrest order of Kissinger was requested by lawyer Gustavo Salles, who represents the relatives of Bernardo Arnone, detained in the public highway in Buenos Aires, on October 2, 1976.
Several sources presume that Arnone was one the members of that organization who, after being kidnapped, was taken to the 511 flight of TAMU (Uruguayan Military Air Transport) on October 5, 1976.
The extradition request against the ex secretary of State during the government of Richard Nixon was presented to the Supreme Court on March 7, twenty-four hours before President George W. Bush's arrival in Uruguay.
According to a Uruguayan human rights activist, Kissinger is accused of being responsible for the Condor Plan crimes, included in some documents declassified by the US Department of State.
