Religion See other Religion Articles Title: US May Be Stepping Into Prophetic Disaster With Positions On Israel and Iran US May Be Stepping Into Prophetic Disaster With Positions On Israel and Iran By ill Wilson, Daily Jot News Service Senior Analyst 2007-03-29 -- WDC Media News -- WASH—Mar 29—DJNS-- While the United States appears to be pressuring Iran, another pressure by the U.S. on Israel to give up its land for peace may place America in the crosshairs of prophetic disaster. The U.S. is conducting the largest military maneuvers in the Persian Gulf since the 2003 invasion of Iraq. Russian intelligence reports that American military presence is building along the Iraq-Iran border, raising speculation that the U.S. is preparing for a massive land, sea and air military operation against Iran. Iran has taken British sailors hostage and is demanding that Britain confess that the sailors were violating Iran’s waters. The White House has indicated its support for Britain. At the same time, U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has held a series of meetings in Israel individually with Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, and then she met with them jointly. From that meeting, Rice emphatically said, “There is a growing consensus behind President Bush’s vision of the State of Israel and the new State of Palestine living side by side in peace and security, as well as an urgent desire to achieve it." Indeed, Rice has been working hard in recent weeks to assemble the parties in the Middle East that can apply enough political force to create the Palestinian state. These matters of the brewing conflict with Iran and the daunting pressure being applied to establish a Palestinian state could spell imminent disaster for the United States. The U.S. is pushing for Israel to give up land for peace, essentially assisting a terrorist group to establish what will be an eminently hostile terrorist state carved out of Israeli land in the name of peace. Both Fatah and Hamas, which comprise the so-called Palestinian authority government, continue to promote the demise of Israel in their founding documents. Indeed, if the United States continued to attempt to cut up the land of Israel while at the same time enter a conflict with Iran, a colossal disaster could await the U.S. that would diminish it as a world power. Biblical prophesies, which have held true throughout history, are clear. Genesis 12:3 says of the nation of Israel: “And I will bless them that bless you, and curse him that curses you.” Zechariah 12:3 says, “And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.” Zephaniah 3:19 says, “Behold, at that time I will undo all that afflict you.” These latter day prophecies could come into play not only for Israel’s enemies, but also those who use their support of Israel to diminish her. These are very dangerous times for the nation United States, the one nation under God. It is a time for prayer, repentance and wisdom.
