Here's my petition comments: A little background: I'm a rural Midwesterner from Red State land and was a registered Republican all my life until 9-11 (the evidence shows that it was indeed an inside job). The GOP's malignant transformation into on overtly fascist, police-state-promoting, torture-advocating, Bill-of-Rights-gutting party of Machiavellian Empire-lusters (and their thoroughly psy-opsed "conservative" dupes) meant that I could no longer associate myself with it (or them).
Just a few years ago (pre-911), I would have considered Rosie O'Donnell as a kind of cultural and political alien. But as the neo-cons liked to say, 9-11 changed everything, just not entirely in the way that they hoped it would (thank God). 9-11 and the cause of 9-11 truth made obsolete the old left-right divide. It's not about left or right anymore. It's about freedom (and just plain decency). And freedom-lovers (and good people) are found on both sides of that old divide. We are presently joining together as one to take back our country from enemies within.
So, Rosie, you are this culturally-conservative Red-Stater's hero for your courageous public stand for 9-11 truth. What unites us is far greater than what may have divided us in the past. We are all Americans; we love liberty and the Constitution; we hate wars and elite war-profiteering based on lies; and we hate the criminals who have hijacked our country and made "America" a curse word around the globe.
It's time that we take our country back. And 9-11 truth, should it ever go mainstream, will strike THE MORTAL BLOW to the current neo-fascist regime. Rosie's courageous stand has made this more likely and, for that, I thank her.
