Bill O’Reilly: JFK Conspiracy Theorist

Fox News host Bill O’Reilly has been criticizing Rosie O’Donnell over her blog post repeating a 9/11 conspiracy theory.

O’Reilly declared that “you can’t allow” someone to “make anti-American remarks…accusing your own government of murder.” He called claims that the U.S. government acted in a criminal way “irresponsible and dangerous.”

Too bad for O’Reilly, tapes from his days on the Peabody Award-winning Inside Edition are still floating around.

Watch below as O’Reilly spreads the JFK conspiracy theory that the CIA secretly supported assassin Lee Harvey Oswald: (Go to the original link for the video)

Digg It!

Transcript:

Bill O’Reilly, 4/2/07:

O’REILLY: The problem, once you get into an area where you are spreading propaganda, OK, which is where she is with the 9/11 conspiracy… See, you can’t allow someone like that to go on and make anti-American remarks, in which they are, accusing your own government of murder, of putting people in harm’s way and then have nothing else to balance it.

O’REILLY: Well, Ms. O’Donnell and her radical pals are basically telling the world the USA is a criminal nation … O’Donnell and actor Charley Sheen are also peddling the 9/11 conspiracy theory that the attack on the World Trade Center was an inside job. Never mind that nonsense has been debunked by “Popular Mechanics” using scientific evidence that is beyond dispute.

I have to wonder if O’Reilly just says these things because they push the right buttons on the easily outraged rubes and thus their outrages means good ratings for him or does he actually believe in what he spews. I think he is a manipulator and does it for the money. The outraged Archie Bunker act. (1 image)

O'Reilly doesn't believe a word out of his mouth. For the right price and to keep his more than assuredly deviant private life under wraps- he would be playing the moslem call to prayer on his show and grow a Mullah beard. The man is a fraud. As is Hannity- though I think Hannity actually does believe half of what he says- he is the dumber of the two.

You are absolutely right about Billo - I don't doubt that the case is the same for all the MSM hairdo's as you call them.

For example I saw the entire piece between Billo and Geraldo re: the illegal DUI fatal crash incident and AFTER Billo almost threw a stroke and AFTER Mr. G's moustache almost took flight, the last minute of their "battle" they exchanged pleasantries and plugged EACH OTHER'S SHOWS.

Can you believe it? Of course you can, Burke , because you are so cynical and wise - I'm learning under your tuteldge - but I must say even I as a 50% hardened cynic was somewhat taken by surprise at the instantaneous comaraderie.

Hello, people, it was all staged.

O'Reilly uses the old outraged Archie Bunker persona act. This is a persona that was developed by various AM radio talk show hosts around the late 60s and early 70s. You did not see this shtick much on television until around the late 90s which saw the rise on cable television of pseudo news talk show hosts.
