American radio icon Don Imus disgraced, fired after threat to reveal 9/11 secrets 13.04.2007 Source: URL: http://english.pravda.ru/opinion/columnists/89728-Don_Imus-0 In a clear sign of its intent to reign in dissident American media personalities, and their growing influence in American culture, US War Leaders this past week launched an unprecedented attack upon one of their most politically 'connected', and legendary, radio hosts named Don Imus after his threats to release information relating to the September 11, 2001 attacks upon that country. According to European reports of the events surrounding Don Imus that have gripped the United States this past week, it was during an interview with another American media personality, Tim Russert, who is the host of a television programme frequently used by US War Leaders, wherein while decrying the state of care being given to American War wounded stated, "So those bastards want to keep these boys [in reference to US Soldiers] secret? Let's see how they like it if I start talking about their [in reference to US War Leaders] secrets, starting with 9/11." Unable to attack such a powerful media figure as Don Imus, directly, the US War Leaders, and as we have seen many times before, resorted to a massive media attack against him using as the reason a racial slur against a US woman's basketball team, but which has been pointed out by other media outlets was not by any means a rare occurrence for the legendary radio icon to make. But, to the US War Leaders, Don Imus represented the most serious threat, to date, of the growing assault against them by America's media personalities threatening to expose the truths behind the events of September 11, 2001 and the Iraq/Afghanistan Wars; and to such an extent that another American media personality, Rosie O'Donnell, has expressed concern that US Military Leaders could actually imprison Mr. Imus. From our past research of the tactics used against those threatening America's War Leaders, the likelihood of imprisonment for Don Imus would only occur should he persist in his threats to undermine their authority, and which appears, at this time, unlikely after the public disgrace he has had to endure. It is expected, also, that the US War Leaders actions against Don Imus will have a further chilling affect upon other American media personalities questioning their authority, such as the popular US movie actor, Charlie Sheen, and who was one of the first to question the events of September 11, 2001, and as we can read as reported by New Zealand Herald News Service in their article titled "Charlie Sheen may voice 9/11 documentary", and which says: "US actor Charlie Sheen is reportedly in talks to narrate an internet documentary that suggests elements of the US government were behind the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Centre. Sheen's representatives say he was involved in the production of a new version of Loose Change, a 90-minute conspiracy theory film that has been seen by more than 10 million internet viewers." Apparently lost upon America's media personalities is that a government being investigated by the International Red Cross for the torture of an Iranian Diplomat by whipping with steel cables on his feet; a government that would have its soldiers imprison in an Ethiopian torture jail a Swedish teenage girl; a government that would even contemplate the release of one of the World's most wanted terrorists, Posada Carriles; does not hesitate, for even a second, to crush any, and all, opposition to it. Yea, that's my take too. If she hadn't been the one reporting it, it would be easier to entertain the possibility of truth to this story.

I do not subscribe to this theory but time shall tell. Now that the ax has fallen on Imus and IF this was the primary rational/justification, then he would now be under no constraint to go public with a disclosure of his 09/11 opinion anyway. While the federal media would do its best to under/non-report such comments, such a disclosure by Imus would receive widespread attention nonetheless. I remain thinking it was an example of political correctness run amok. And, it is also true that the Imus episode has created a glaring case of hypocrisy/double standard upon the "politically correct cabal" which has become a topic in and around America's water coolers, kitchens, decks and living rooms (-- a positive aspect of this incident). Let's see what happens.

That's my feeling also. A regular contributor to the Imus show was Bo Dietl, a retired NYC detective. He and Bill O'Reilly recently threatened to "get" Charlie Sheen for daring to debunk the govt. 911 hoax. I don't think Imus would have had Dietl on his show as a regular had they differed on 911.
Good point. And, had thier opinions differed, Imus would (I expect) have challenged Deitl right then on the Imus show. And let me add: the final resolution of the Duke Three could not have come at a worse time for the politically correct cabal. Even Fox News could not neglect reporting/comparing the two cases.

Bo Dietl was a sponsor as well as a guest. I had forgotten who McGuirk was until I watched 60 minutes last night. He is one of the funniest people I have ever witnessed do it on a daily basis.

Although easily missed, some of those snide comments he made in the background were ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS.

I watched 60 Minutes last night, the Duke kids were featured. The NC special prosecutor, who took the case over from Nifong, said the accuser claimed she was suspended in mid air during the rape. He also said she had a long psych history and was taking numerous psychotropic meds. What Nifong did, and what is now in the public record, should be made available to every jury in America before it’s empanelled. The little dipshit might actually have done the criminal justice system a favor by waking up a few sheeple.

I completely agree, and the Judges are sometimes worse than this prosecutor when it comes to denying the jury evidence and even the LAW upon which to render a verdict. The Justice System is shit !

What show were these comments allegedly made on, Imus's, Russert's, or some other show? Is there a transcript? Is there an audio?

No evidence has been found anywhere that this statement was ever made by Imus. No audio, no transcript, nothing.
I cannot find the old area I posted in, my navigator crashed and finding my way around. The statement was made on Russert. I faxed Imus and Russert. Whatever answer I get, I will post here. Maher
Gosh, I feel like I kill all the debates and postings. No one seems to carry the ball a step further. Well, maybe I should share this with you; might get things going. Pravda was the one who broke the story about Imus and 9/11 secrets, even though, before Bravda did, a radio show out of Louisiana said the same thing, the host of that show is Hesham Tallawi. I was on his TV show night before last, he told me later that it went well; I am not so sure but will take his word. The same day, that morning, I had emailed Pravda what I had supplied Don Imus, and supplied them with my fax log as proof of Imus contact and others in mainstream media and our beleoved congress and senate. This morning, I get an email from Pravda asking to put all in an article for them to publish; I am such a good trooper, I obliged. Anyway, maybe this will stir things up a bit. In solidarity, Maher
