The purpose of this thread is to applaud our hosts for this place, and what we like about it. One of the things I do not like about modern USA culture is that people do not properly thank others. It's as if they believe they're giving up something to acknowledge that someone else did something nice. Running a site is a royal pain in the ass, and time consuming. It costs something to run, and someone has to pay that. So thank you to the owners, and here's what I like about Freedom4um: 1. No smilies!! I hate those things. I can barely stand to read DU because there are so many people who use them. Why not crayons? 2. No threads calling for government to FIX whatever today's most visible problem is. What are your favorite things about Freedom4um and how it is run?

Just for the record, I'm perfectly content with my 15 post limit (keeps me from wasting too much time) and there has been no censorship of my posts other than my VOLUNTEERING not to call folks KOOKS and the censorship imposed by folks who bozo'd themselves to avoid facing the facts contained in my posts. ROTFLOL! No, SKYDRIFTER, I'm still around. In fact, I just got done thoroughly demolishing a claim by Kamala about FDS and did you notice that no one has even attempted a rational response to my destruction of nolu_chan's and roughrider's posts yesterday regarding the WTC? Well that depends on which side of the issue you are on. There's been many a thread where it was me against THEM. But who's complaining. (wink) I like that aspect of 4um too! ROTFLOL! Except in my case? ROTFLOL!
ROTFLOL! No, SKYDRIFTER, I'm still around. ROTFLOL! ROTFLOL! Could you volunteer not to type "ROTFLOL" all the damn time? I mean, aside from sounding like the arch villain monologueing in a 1950s Marvel comic book, it is the second most annoying habit you have.

i've asked him to quit and told him he comes across as maniacal and deranged. obviously he is cuz he can't stop it.

Paul Revere - This is the only forum I've seen that allows 9-11 discussion without a beatdown as part of it.
scrapper2 - And 4um offers "characters" a place to post their opinions - 4um as the last refuge for characters?
Mekons4 - The main thing is that people with very different political views can talk rationally without being called commie or nazi. When someone goes beyond the pale, the posters tend to quash it, rather than calling for banning.
