The purpose of this thread is to applaud our hosts for this place, and what we like about it. One of the things I do not like about modern USA culture is that people do not properly thank others. It's as if they believe they're giving up something to acknowledge that someone else did something nice.

Running a site is a royal pain in the ass, and time consuming. It costs something to run, and someone has to pay that.

So thank you to the owners, and here's what I like about Freedom4um:

1. No smilies!! I hate those things. I can barely stand to read DU because there are so many people who use them. Why not crayons?

2. No threads calling for government to FIX whatever today's most visible problem is.

What are your favorite things about Freedom4um and how it is run?

Christine and Zipporah are my favorite things about this forum.

I also really like how I can post my rants here and not have to worry about the SS knocking on my door the next morning like has happened on LP with Fred Mertz. Well, at least it hasn't happened here yet. :)

I also love imawit's posts. That guy is a financial genius and 4UM is very lucky to have him posting here.
