An enraged Alec Baldwin unleashed a volcanic tirade of threats and insults on his 11-year-old daughter, Ireland, calling her a "thoughtless little pig," and bashing her mother Kim Basinger -- and TMZ has obtained the whole thing unfiltered and raw. And, we've learned, the tape could cost Baldwin his visitation rights.

After Ireland failed to answer her father's scheduled morning phone call from New York on April 11, Alec went bersek on her voice mail, saying "Once again, I have made an ass of myself trying to get to a phone," adding, "you have insulted me for the last time."

Switching his train of thought, Baldwin then exercised his incredible parenting skills and took a shot at his ex-wife, declaring, "I don't give a damn that you're 12-years-old or 11-years-old, or a child, or that your mother is a thoughtless pain in the ass who doesn't care about what you do." The irate Baldwin went on to say, "You've made me feel like s**t" and threatened to "straighten your ass out."

"This crap you pull on me with this goddamn phone situation that you would never dream of doing to your mother," screamed Baldwin, "and you do it to me constantly over and over again."

Before hanging up, Baldwin warned the child, "You better be ready Friday the 20th to meet with me." That's tomorrow.

We've learned that on Wednesday, Los Angeles County Superior Court commissioner Maren Nelson heard the tape and temporarily suspended Baldwin's visitation rights. A hearing is set for May 4, where the judge could permanently deny Baldwin visitation or contact with Ireland.

Calls to Basinger's attorneys, celebrity lawyers Neal Hersh and Judy Bogen, were not returned.

Baldwin's lawyer, Vicki Greene, told TMZ, "Whatever happened yesterday was sealed and confidential. What you're telling me you've got you shouldn't have." (1 image)

I like his work, but someone needs to tell him an 11 year old girl who doesn't want to visit her dad and has good reasons probably isn't going to have to see him. Major League fuck up.

I had a guy call me on a custody matter and when I called back I discovered he had on his message machine Michael Corleone's not-so-subtle warning to Kay in "Godfather II" about "using all his power" to avoid losing his kids. This guy already had a CLETS restraining order against him. I didn't take the case. :P

There's plenty of evidence that Bassinger is poisoning the kid's mind. Nevertheless, no matter how bad a divorce gets, you gotta keep your cool. I know, I went through a long custody battle.

Kim Basinger probably is poisoning the kid's mind, but it's the admissible evidence that matters, and that voice mail tape is deadly. Nothing cuts a person's balls off in court faster than an angry, bitter tape. Hard to convince others you're reasonable when you're venting at a kid on a tape.

I'm not saying he shouldn't have a conversation with her, but the way to deal with it is by getting his lawyer to file a motion to get the kid examined by a court appointed shrink, to determine the level of poisoning by KB. THAT is useful evidence and would help him.

Most courts give deference to where an 11 year old wants to live, but will require regular visitation unless the child is fearful of the parent, and there is good evidence of why, supported by expert opinion.

His foolish action has hurt his case badly, maybe irreparably.

This is pretty tame, actually. Lots of divorces get a lot nastier than this...

Life is too short to represent hot heads.

They're always going to be trouble because they don't get it. If you want to win in Family Court, you'd better be on your good behavior, you'd better have the better lawyer, and you'd better not be in front of a court that doesn't favor your gender in these things.

I haven't done any family law in over two decades, but I have business clients that have companies which are pulled into these shit fights. When possible, you get the business issues removed to a regular civil district court. I can't stand family law judges. What a bunch of light weights. They know Family law, and nothing else, and they don't have a clue about evidentiary and procedural rules. Like that douche in Florida that dragged out the Anna Nicole Smith burial issue.

If it's not a federal or state district court, I don't wanna be there.

Forget about Orange County, California then: Most of the judges at the "Family and Juvenile Justice [cough! cough!] Center" in Orange are ex-deputy DA's from the Child Support Enforcement division. They beat up on men reflexively.

True, but most cases don't involve high visibility clients with lots of political enemies throughout the judiciary, or a well financed, well represented wife who can spend limitless sums of money.

The issue is this case, and how his action will affect it.

The judge isn't going to have to answer to public for all the other cases pending. Just this one.

Yes, in the Family Court building, one cannot expect to hear the Godfather of Soul's song "This is a Man's World."

"Man bad, woman good" is the main rule of family law courts.

I'm sure she's really looking forward to seeing Dad.

The judge should do exactly that.

This particular ... article ... gives me a smile because it strikes close to home. Misery loves company and all that.
