I am truly saddened. I know that the trucking industry has done a 180° turn from when I was first introduced to it. Drivers are no longer the modern equivalent of the cowboy, there is no freedom to be had on the highways anymore; the CB used to be where you turned for roadside assistance or directions, now the vast majority of those who talk on the thing are overgrown punks who think they are in tonka toys looking for a piece of a@@.

I have learned to accept all of this, even though I am the exception.

I came from the old school, I was taught to drive by my daddy, who learned from an uncle, that is the way things used to be done. Driving was not just a job, it was a career that took a major sacrifice - and drivers were still there to help any other driver in need, because he was making that same sacrifice to keep America running.

A part of me really hoped that there was just enough of that old blood left on the highways to make this truck out happen, but I guess not. I am glad that I moved on in my life before this event, if I were still on the road I would be far too heartbroken to drive - all I would be able to do would be to sit in the truck stop looking around in sheer disgust.

i went to a large truck stop with sandra and john stadtmiller and michael hezog on sunday IN THE RAIN to pass out flyers to the truckers about this. there was not one trucker we spoke to who had any idea about the NAU or about the admittance of the mexican drivers who soon will be TAKING THEIR JOBS.

but what's really depressing is that the organizers of the TRUCK OUT got 1000s of commitments for DC and other city capitols and only a few or none showed. it's sooooooo over. best we start talking about ways to survive all on our own what's coming. i know you and johnny are already doing that.

So, the community of "drivers" share the same apathy and ignorance percentile as the rest of the population. That is a major disappointment. Who do we have left with the free spirit attitude... cowboys and rancher types and bikers.

Are we sure this just wasn't hushed by the press? Protesters on our side of the fence never have received coverage, anyway. Let's call it an unpublicized success. I'll bet lots of drivers showed. Those who did should be thanked.

Actually, this may work out for the best. Those drivers who did participate now recognize that they will have to get on the horn and organize, if they really want to stop the N.A.U., save their livelihood and America. They just received a huge wakeup call to motivate their fellow drivers. Now is the time for each of us, in the know, to hit the truck stops with DVD's and CD's.

I wonder where we could get a bunch with Alex Jones interviewing Pat Buchanan about his new book and the North American Union, open borders, illegal immigration and the New World Order, etc? May I suggest cigar boxes at truck stops with my N.A.U. DVD and that Immigration CD, I just added. That really would be perfect. They all have CD players and portable DVD players. What better time to bring drivers up to speed... so to speak?

Besides, I just got a continuos ink system for my printer, a thousand DVD's and 500 CD's. What do you say? Hit the smoke store, pick up a few cool looking cigar boxes for a few bucks each, hit the truck stop for the buffet, walk around passing out info. and talking up the N.A.U. while leaving a cigar box full at the checkout. I think that is a beautiful plan.

When you are sitting in the F.E.M.A. camp, visiting with drivers, bull riders and bikers, you sure don't want to have to explain to them why you didn't get the word out before the roundup.

One more thing. I have over a hundred Ron Paul, 911, Tax Protest, Truth Movement yahoogroups I hit on a regular basis. Surely, drivers (truckers) have yahoogroups. Raise your hand if you want to search for and send me a big, long list of groups. Rancher groups probably don't care for that big road that may cut through the south forty. And bikers don't like to stop a toll booths. You know, they'll have to balance the bike, take off the gloves, fiddle around for the billfold, pocket the change.

Folks, it's time we took off the gloves. In the words of Zig Zigler, "help enough folks get what they want and you will be able to get what you want."
