Bush says: "I got 150,000 guys in Iraq and you better give me lots of money or I will let them die there."

There seems to be a mental void and no one will think or express 'the unthinkable' which is: it's Bush's duty to order them back home if there's no money to keep them there. But Bush says that if they run out of money and resources he's going to keep them there anyway. He's a hostage-holding murderer and the Demowhores don't dare to point it out.

If the Demowhores don't give Bush nothing but the funds needed to get the troops out and back home then they've earned their name. This is exactly what the GOP's are challenging them to do. The GOPs say that the congress should not run the war but they could defund it.

Oh... BREAKING NEWS: in his stupid speech, Bush said that not all the terrists wish to follow us home. Man... he's so intelligent...

I've just gotten to the point in Alastair Horne's A Savage War of Peace where the French army in Algeria mutinies against the government in Paris.

To reason, indeed, he was not in the habit of attending. His mode of arguing, if it is to be so called, was one not uncommon among dull and stubborn persons, who are accustomed to be surrounded by their inferiors. He asserted a proposition; and, as often as wiser people ventured respectfully to show that it was erroneous, he asserted it again, in exactly the same words, and conceived that, by doing so, he at once disposed of all objections. - Macaulay, "History of England," Vol. 1, Chapter 6, on James II.

BUSH TO TROOPS: DROP DEAD!

Effective headline I just read on the AMERICAblog forum.

Yes, I recommend it (although I've been reading it slowly, here at work.)

Next time I fly to Europe (August, I think) I will take American Psycho to read. I just watched the movie ($5 at Walmart) and the people in the extras materials claim that the book is much more interesting. Apparently the NOW bullied about 70% of the country's bookstores not to carry the book back in the early 90's.

Just heard Rep. Hoyer on Hardball. He was falling all over himself saying that the D's and R's will work together and get the war funding bill past as quickly as possible and even include a little extra money for Afghanistan. The Democrats are a complete fraud. They make a big show out of being agaist the war, but they are right on board the efforts to keep us tied down in Iraq forever.

New assistant Secretary of State H. Doody will be traveling there soon to show our administration's resolve in continuing our efforts in Iraq. Speaking in a voice that sounded remarkably like Dick Cheney affecting a falsetto, he stated in a press conference that he was "Very proud to be trusted with this important office and I am delighted to support this administration in every way possible".

This is no different than Viet Nam. Regardless of what the American people want, the lying warmongering thieves in Congress will keep funding and refunding the war. Without all the increased government spending, the economy would be in the tank. Iraq and the laughable WOT has always been about the economy. Politicians figure that it's better to have the serfs pissed off about the war than it is to have them rioting in the streets. Just keep them fat, dumb and happy.
