Ron Paul Rides High In Polls After GOP Debate

Prison Planet
Friday, May 4, 2007

Ron Paul is currently riding high in the polls after last night's GOP Presidential debate, jockeying for first position with Mitt Romney and ahead of both Rudy Giuliani and John McCain.

A major MSNBC poll currently has Paul at 30% approval, compared to Romney at 31%. McCain and Giuliani are at 21% and 27% respectively.

Several readers tell us that Paul shot ahead in the early stages of the poll, and this is verified from an MSNBC news clip last night in which Keith Olbermann states Paul has received 39% of the vote.

Fox News claims that John McCain won the debate and that Romney also did well because he is "handsome" and spouted rhetoric about "God and country." Ron Paul is the only real candidate talking about real issues and he is also the only contender who is not completely bought and paid for by Neo-Con warmongers.

Twice now, the local birdcage liners have run large full page articles about ALL of the Republican candidates running.

EXCEPT Ron Paul.

The deliberate effort by the establishment press to ignore "Dr. No" make it clear that he's the best choice; the one we need.

Hopefully there will be a point where Ron Paul becomes popular enough that he cannot be ignored -

RP is a great man but he doesn't stand a chance. He will be INTENSELY and passionately ignored by the media and, if that failed, he will be vilified and ridiculed. Remember Buchanan?

Ron Paul is not an AIPAC approved candidate. He has zero chance.

OTOH, he has Olberman's endorsement there...

Maybe that'll pull him out of the second tier.

this makes me so furious. my first thought was f**k foxnews. john mcCain looked and sounded like an insane maniac...and romney handsome? not in my opinion. he looks like a mannequin...the same way goofy gore looked in his debates.

Sorry, ladies...but this is what KILLS a lot of great candidates...they march out a mannequin like Romney, and the female voters get the vapors. I remember a woman I worked with in Vermont who ADORED Clinton. Didn't know a damn thing about "where he stood on the issues", but was DYING to get him in bed. She was married, too; and when I reminded her of that little fact, her response was "he'll get over it". Wonder if she's still married?

That page is currently showing Paul and Romney both leading at 30%, but with Romney having a negative rating at 35% compared to Paul's 30%. So Paul is now in front, really. In fact Paul has the lowest negative rating of the bunch.

Giuliani is in third at 27%.

McCain is at 21%, dropping 10 points with this debate. Huckabee is at 14%, and the rest are 7-9%.

Paul was at 9% before the debate.

Which proves that it is not rabid RP supporters running up his tally.

Well, that's refreshing news. However, I doubt it holds up in a real poll. No one watched that debate, and I think it's just an online reaction by those who did and liked his slamming of Bush and the war.

Rudy was pretty hilarious, claiming that Bush is doing a great job. Anyone with such poor judgment or willing to lie so baldly will probably make a very poor president. Just like he made a piss-poor mayor.

Remember, the media is corporate and has interests. They will mention those candidates they have given money to and not mention those candidates they have no influence over.

This is an excellent showing for Dr. Paul. Let us hope he continues to rise as the Dark Horse candidate.

they march out a mannequin like Romney, and the female voters get the vapors.

You got that right ... 71% of Clinton's votes were females. (The other 29% were fags).

It was a good showing, especially in the very beginning. He needs to stay relaxed ... and his slogan should be "It's the Constitution Stupid" !!!

They're doing the same thing to Mike Gravel on the Democratic side (and Kucinich hasn't been getting much coverage either.)

To reason, indeed, he was not in the habit of attending. His mode of arguing, if it is to be so called, was one not uncommon among dull and stubborn persons, who are accustomed to be surrounded by their inferiors. He asserted a proposition; and, as often as wiser people ventured respectfully to show that it was erroneous, he asserted it again, in exactly the same words, and conceived that, by doing so, he at once disposed of all objections. - Macaulay, "History of England," Vol. 1, Chapter 6, on James II.

Glenn Beck and Michael Medved "immediately" downplayed Paul's superb showing and ignored the fact that he received 3rd place votes on Drudge and I understand better at MSNBC.

Maybe the people are tired of paying for the perpetual spanking we get from D.C.

RP is a great man but he doesn't stand a chance. He will be INTENSELY and passionately ignored by the media and, if that failed, he will be vilified and ridiculed. Remember Buchanan?

It doesn't have to come to this. The majority on this forum know what we are up against. The asshole neo-cons and their asshole supporters. Most of us know if we continue down the present road, we are doomed as a nation and as citizens.

One little debate has lifted Ron Paul in the polls. Maybe a miracle is beginning to happen right before our eyes and in spite of us. We have many months before another neo-con gets thrust upon us unwillingly by one of the two wings on the same bird of prey(demoncrats/repukelicans).

Since time is of the essence, as many so wisely understand, we need to scrap all the tomfoolery like the music posts and spend our time trying to support and trying to raise support for a candidate like Dr. Ron Paul who is the real deal and our last best hope to save our country and The Constitution.

Those of you who profess that Ron Paul has no chance are helping to insure that he has no chance. Instead of negatism, let's do every thing possible to help him help us and our country. Those little footnotes many of us have when we post (quotes of famous people) were cute the first few times they were read, but now become boring and almost a joke. Some reply to other poster's with these little footnotes only without one word addressed to the topic or discussion at hand.

The poster's that do this could spend their time e-mailing others trying to inform them how desperate the situation has become and how little time we have left before the party is over. The wasted bandwidth could be better used supporting a candidate like Ron Paul.

Since the controlled media won't serve the people, we need to do an end run around their traitoristic news reporting. We can all donate a few dollars (five would be sufficient) and buy TV time for Ron Paul, newspaper space, and do some telephoning on his behalf. We need to ditch the negativism and negative attitudes now. Time is running out.

If anybody has better idea(s), let's hear them or propose other ideas. Otherwise just disregard my idea and vote for the status quo. The neo-cons will love you to death.

By the way, Buchanan surely would have been much better than what we got now. At least he could read and write and speak intelligently.
