Paul Anka has done a lot of really awful songs, but this one may be the worst. When I was in school, some of us changed the lyrics to "You're Having An Abortion."

This whole song should have been aborted soon after it began. Let's call that a "first stanza abortion."

The song you reference ALWAYS turns up on those "worst songs EVER" lists radio stations are so fond of playing, especially on holiday weekends. Classic pukefest tune...

The Annoying Music Show on NPR here played a faux-opera version of Teen Spirit by some guy who thought he had a great voice. OMG, I LEAPED to turn off the radio.

But for sheer wretchedness, you can't really beat Shatner's Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, complete with dippy chick backup singers. Oy, it's like a communicable migraine.
