Jesus. This is almost as torturous as reading one of BeAChooser's posts.

Worst ever? You must have missed Pat Boone's "In a Metal Mood' LP...you can hear clips at the Amazon or Barnes and Noble websites...

A really good version of this song by Tori Amos.

"To: Jim Robinson -- "Well I remember the day when you thought George W Bush was unfit for office and a cokehead so you’ll have to forgive me if I hold my own opinions about Rudy’s fitness for the presidency." -- by Peach (Banned)

Paul Anka has done a lot of really awful songs, but this one may be the worst. When I was in school, some of us changed the lyrics to "You're Having An Abortion."

This whole song should have been aborted soon after it began. Let's call that a "first stanza abortion."

The song you reference ALWAYS turns up on those "worst songs EVER" lists radio stations are so fond of playing, especially on holiday weekends. Classic pukefest tune...

The Annoying Music Show on NPR here played a faux-opera version of Teen Spirit by some guy who thought he had a great voice. OMG, I LEAPED to turn off the radio.

But for sheer wretchedness, you can't really beat Shatner's Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, complete with dippy chick backup singers. Oy, it's like a communicable migraine.

I can't stand Paul Anka but what a smoking band!

And, the guitarist was playing a Gibson Chet Atkins Country Gentleman!

I dunno Ferret - she has a cool as hell voice, but not for a Rock Anthem. Do you have anything else done by her so that I can better judge her abilities.

Sounds like it is something I may need to avoid - I don't have many brain cells left after the Paul Anka thing...

A song much better suited for her vocal range/talents. She is very gifted - I will have to look for some stuff by her.

Thanks!
