Indeed, the number of facts pointing towards likely foreknowledge are so numerous that it is easy to get lost in the details. This essay focuses solely on the proof that American and allied intelligence services actually heard the hijackers discuss and make their plans before 9/11. Initially, an FBI informant hosted and rented a room to two hijackers in 2000. And a CIA agent allegedly met with Bin Laden in an American hospital in July 2001 Furthermore, Israel tracked the hijackers' every move prior to the attacks, and sent agents to film the attack on the World Trade Centers. Moreover, the intelligence services of the French and other governments had infiltrated the highest levels of Al-Qaeda's camps, and actually listened to the hijackers' debates about which airlines' planes should be hijacked, and allied intelligence services also intercepted phone conversations between Al-Qaeda members regarding the attacks. And the National Security Agency and the FBI were each independently listening in on the phone calls between the supposed mastermind of the attacks and the lead hijacker. Indeed, the FBI built its own antenna in Madagascar specifically to listen in on the mastermind's phone calls. The day before 9/11, the mastermind told the lead hijacker "tomorrow is zero hour" and gave final approval for the attacks. The NSA intercepted the message that day and the FBI was likely also monitoring the mastermind's phone calls. Shortly before 9/11, the NSA also intercepted multiple phone calls to the United States from Bin Laden's chief of operations. The CIA and the NSA had been intercepting phone calls by the hijackers for years. Indeed, two days before 9/11, Osama Bin Laden called his stepmother and told her "In two days, you're going to hear big news and you're not going to hear from me for a while.” US officials later told CNN that “in recent years they've been able to monitor some of bin Laden's telephone communications with his [step]mother. Bin Laden at the time was using a satellite telephone, and the signals were intercepted and sometimes recorded." Indeed, before 9/11, to impress important visitors, NSA analysts would occasionally play audio tapes of bin Laden talking to his stepmother. And according to CBS News, at 9:53 a.m on 9/11, just 15 minutes after the hijacked plane had hit the Pentagon, "the National Security Agency, which monitors communications worldwide, intercepted a phone call from one of Osama bin Laden's operatives in Afghanistan to a phone number in the former Soviet Republic of Georgia", and secretary of Defense Rumsfeld learned about the intercepted phone call in real-time (if the NSA monitored and transcribed phone calls in real-time on 9/11, that implies that it did so in the months leading up to 9/11 as well). Forget complicated arguments about warnings. The following is just a small sample*: Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense under President Ronald Reagan said that the official story of 9/11 is "the dog that doesn't hunt" (bio) Director of the U.S. "Star Wars" space defense program in both Republican and Democratic administrations, who was a senior air force colonel who flew 101 combat missions, stated that 9/11 was an inside job (he also said "If our government had merely done nothing, and allowed normal procedures to happen on that morning of 9/11, the twin towers would still be standing, and thousands of dead Americans would still be alive. [T]hat is treason") U.S. Army Air Defense Officer and NORAD Tac Director, decorated with the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star and the Soldiers Medal stated that "there is no way that an aircraft . . . would not be intercepted when they deviate from their flight plan, turn off their transponders, or stop communication with Air Traffic Control ... Attempts to obscure facts by calling them a 'conspiracy Theory' does not change the truth. It seems, 'Something is rotten in the State.'" President of the U.S. Air Force Accident Investigation Board, who also served as Pentagon Weapons Requirement Officer and as a member of the Pentagon's Quadrennial Defense Review, and who was awarded Distinguished Flying Crosses for Heroism, four Air Medals, four Meritorious Service Medals, and nine Aerial Achievement Medals, is a member of a group which doubts the government's version of 9/11 20-year Marine Corps infantry and intelligence officer, the second-ranking civilian in U.S. Marine Corps Intelligence, and former CIA clandestine services case officer stated that "9/11 was at a minimum allowed to happen as a pretext for war", and it was probably an inside job (see Customer Review dated October 7, 2006). U.S. General, Commanding General of U.S. European Command and Supreme Allied Commander Europe, decorated with the Bronze Star, Silver Star, and Purple Heart said "We've never finished the investigation of 9/11 and whether the administration actually misused the intelligence information it had. The evidence seems pretty clear to me. I've seen that for a long time." Air Force Colonel and key Pentagon official finds various aspects of 9/11 suspicious Lieutenant colonel, 24-year Air Force career, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs at the Defense Language Institute said "Of course Bush knew about the impending attacks on America. He did nothing to warn the American people because he needed this war on terrorism." Two-Star general questions the attack on the Pentagon U.S. Air Force fighter pilot, former instructor at the USAF Fighter Weapons School and NATO’s Tactical Leadership Program, with a 20-year Air Force career said the following: "I am 100% convinced that the attacks of September 11, 2001 were planned, organized, and committed by treasonous perpetrators that have infiltrated the highest levels of our government .... Those of us in the military took an oath to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic". Just because we have retired does not make that oath invalid, so it is not just our responsibility, it is our duty to expose the real perpetrators of 9/11 and bring them to justice, no matter how hard it is, how long it takes, or how much we have to suffer to do it. We owe it to those who have gone before us who executed that same oath, and who are doing the same thing in Iraq and Afghanistan right now. Those of us who joined the military and faithfully executed orders that were given us had to trust our leaders. The violation and abuse of that trust is not only heinous, but ultimately the most accurate definition of treason!" U.S. Marine Corps lieutenant colonel, a fighter pilot with over 300 combat missions flown and a 21-year Marine Corps career, believes that 9/11 was an inside job, and said: "This isn't about party, it isn't about Bush Bashing. It's about our country, our constitution, and our future. ... Your countrymen have been murdered and the more you delve into it the more it looks as though they were murdered by our government, who used it as an excuse to murder other people thousands of miles away. If you ridicule others who have sincere doubts and who know factual information that directly contradicts the official report and who want explanations from those who hold the keys to our government, and have motive, means, and opportunity to pull off a 9/11, but you are too lazy or fearful, or ... to check into the facts yourself, what does that make you? .... Are you afraid that you will learn the truth and you can't handle it? ..." Former army captain and intelligence officer said this: "As a former Army officer, my tendency immediately after 911 was to rally 'round the colors and defend the country against what I then thought was an insidious, malicious all-Arab entity called Al-Qaida. In fact, in April of 2002, I attempted to reactivate my then-retired commission to return to serve my country in its time of peril... Now I view the 911 event . . . as a matter that implies either A) passive participation by the Bush White House through a deliberate stand-down of proper defense procedures that (if followed) would have led US air assets to a quick identification and confrontation of the passenger aircraft that impacted WTC 1 and WTC 2, or worse ... B) active execution of a plot by rogue elements of government, starting with the White House itself, in creating a spectacle of destruction that would lead the United States into an invasion of the Middle East ..." Mr. Doyle is the representative of the largest group of 9/11 families, the Coalition of 9/11 Families*, and lost his own son Joey in the collapse of the twin towers. Mr. McIlvaine, an outspoken 9/11 truth activist, lost his son Bobby when the World Trade Centers were destroyed. Another prominent 9/11 family member supports the petition, but decided for personal reasons not to sign. Also signing the petition are: • Physicist Dr. Steven Jones • Scientist and former Site Manager for Environmental Health Laboratories, a division of Underwriters Laboratories, Kevin Ryan • Architect Richard Gage (a member of the American Institute of Architects, who has been a practicing architect for 20 years and has been responsible for the production of construction documents for numerous steel-framed and fire-protected buildings for uses in many different areas, including education, civic, rapid transit and industrial use) • And the group Scholars for 9/11 Truth and Justice The petition can be read here. Defenders of the official 9/11 story argue that those who question the government are giving "aid and comfort to the enemy" (and here). Are they right? Pre-9/11 First, let's look at the events leading up to the 9/11 attacks. As reported by the New York Times, the FBI had penetrated the cell which carried out the 1993 world trade center bombing, but had -- at the last minute -- cancelled the plan to have its FBI infiltrator substitute fake power for real explosives, against the infiltrator's strong wishes (summary version is free; full version is pay-per-view). See also this TV news report. And the CIA is alleged to have met with Bin Laden two months before 9/11. Indeed, the government appears to have trained a number of the hijackers at military bases. Investigators for the Congressional Joint Inquiry discovered that an FBI informant had hosted and even rented a room to two hijackers in 2000 and that, when the Inquiry sought to interview the informant, the FBI refused outright, and then hid him in an unknown location, and that a high-level FBI official stated these blocking maneuvers were undertaken under orders from the White House. And an organization virtually controlled by the CIA provided funding to the 9/11 hijackers. Moreover, it is undisputed that the administration had numerous warnings of a specific nature about the attacks, and yet failed to take any real action to stop the attacks. Didn't these government acts give aid and comfort to the enemy? 9/11 The evidence is overwhelming that the government allowed the attacks to succeed (if you don't believe that, skip ahead and read up about the 9/11 Commission, and then come back to this section). Indeed, elements of the government may even have actively carried out the attacks. Didn't that give aid and comfort to the enemy? The Investigation After the attacks, the government engaged in a cover-up and whitewash of epic proportions. For example: • Military officials lied to the Commission, and the Commissioners considered recommending criminal charges for such false statements, yet didn't bother to tell the American people (free subscription required). • The co-chairs of the Commission now admit that the Commission largely operated based upon political considerations. • 9/11 Commission co-chair Lee Hamilton says "I don't believe for a minute we got everything right", that the Commission was set up to fail, that people should keep asking questions about 9/11, that the 9/11 debate should continue, and that the 9/11 Commission report was only "the first draft" of history. • 9/11 Commissioner Bob Kerrey said that "There are ample reasons to suspect that there may be some alternative to what we outlined in our version . . . We didn't have access . . . ." • Former 9/11 Commissioner Max Cleland resigned from the Commission, stating: "It is a national scandal"; "This investigation is now compromised"; and "One of these days we will have to get the full story because the 9-11 issue is so important to America. But this White House wants to cover it up". • The former head of the FBI said there was a cover-up by the 9/11 Commission • The very 9-11 widows who had pressured the administration to create the 9/11 Commission now "question the veracity of the entire Commission’s report", and have previously declared it a failure which ignored 70% of their detailed questions and "suppressed important evidence and whistleblower testimony that challenged the official story on many fronts". • A former FBI translator who Senators Leahy and Grassley, among others, have claimed is credible, and who the administration has gagged for years without any logical basis -- has stated that "this administration knowingly and intentionally let many directly or indirectly involved in that terrorist act [September 11th] go free – untouched and uninvestigated". • The tape of interviews of air traffic controllers on-duty on 9/11 was intentionally destroyed by crushing the cassette by hand, cutting the tape into little pieces, and then dropping the pieces in different trash cans around the building as shown by this NY Times article (summary version is free; full version is pay-per-view) and by this article from the Chicago Sun-Times. • There are indications that false evidence was planted to deflect attention from the real perpetrators. Didn't the fact that the investigation was an obvious farce give aid and comfort to the enemy? Post-9/11 The anthrax attacks -- which were sent along with notes purportedly written by Islamic terrorists -- used a weaponized anthrax strain from the top U.S. bioweapons facility, the Fort Detrick military base. Indeed, top bioweapons experts have stated that the anthrax attack may have been a CIA test "gone wrong"; and see this article by a former NSA and naval intelligence officer; and this statement by a distinguished law professor and bioterror expert. It is also interesting that the only congress people mailed anthrax-containing letters were key democrats, and that the attacks occurred one week before passage of the freedom-curtailing Patriot Act, which seems to have scared them and the rest of congress into passing that act without even reading it. And it might be coincidence, but White House staff began taking the anti-anthrax medicine before the Anthrax attacks occurred. And the CIA commander in charge of the capture stated that the U.S. LET Bin Laden escape from Afghanistan. Don't those acts of treason give aid and comfort to the enemy? Another False Flag Attack Many very smart people are saying that elements within the U.S. government are planning to carry out a false flag attack and blame it on Iran, in order to justify war against that country. For example: • A current Republican Congressman has said "a contrived Gulf of Tonkin-type incident may occur to gain popular support for an attack on Iran". • A former National Security Adviser told the Senate that a terrorist act might be carried out in the U.S. and falsely blamed on Iran to justify war against that nation. • A retired 27-year CIA analyst who prepared and presented Presidential Daily Briefs and served as a high-level analyst for several presidents stated that if there was another major attack in the U.S., it would lead to martial law. He went on to say: "We have to be careful, if somebody does this kind of provocation, big violent explosions of some kind, we have to not take the word of the masters there in Washington that this was some terrorist event because it could well be a provocation allowing them, or seemingly to allow them to get what they want." The former CIA analyst would not put it past the government to "play fast and loose" with terror alerts and warnings and even events themselves in order to rally people behind the flag • The former UN Weapons Inspector, an American, who stated before the Iraq war started that there were no weapons of mass destruction is now saying that he would not rule out staged government terror by the U.S. government. • A member of the British Parliament stated that "there is a very real danger" that the American government will stage a false flag terror attack in order to justify war against Iran and to gain complete control domestically. And, as General Tommy Franks has said, if another terrorist attack occurs in the United States "the Constitution will likely be discarded in favor of a military form of government" . Likewise, Daniel Ellsberg, the famous Pentagon Papers whistleblower, said "if there is another terror attack, "I believe the president will get what he wants", which will include a dictatorship. Wouldn't that give aid and comfort to the enemy? Indeed, a wide variety of very high-level U.S. military officers, congress people, and other patriotic Americans believe from across the political spectrum believe that not questioning 9/11 gives aid and comfort to the enemies. In the final analysis, the real question is whether the most dangerous enemies are "inside the gate" or somewhere on the other side of the world. Anyone who enables the biggest criminals is giving aid and comfort to the enemy. If the most ruthless killers are, indeed, inside our country, than the talking heads and shills who support their lies are the ones giving aid and comfort to the enemy. I am not saying that there are not some radical Islamic terrorists. There might be a handful. However, as everyone from the Los Angeles Times to the BBC have shown, the threat from Al Qaeda has been vastly overblown (and see this article on who is behind the hype). Indeed, a former National Security Adviser told the Senate that the war on terror is "a mythical historical narrative". Defenders of the official story about the collapse of WTC 7 often show photographs of the South side of the building to bolster the claim that raging fires caused building 7 to collapse. However, the following photos from the North side indicate that the huge quantities of smoke may actually have come from an entirely different building: WTC 5 or 6. Look at these photos also: Update # 1: 911Veritas has this: "The quality is not great, but this screensnap was from video taken across the Hudson at the exact moment the building started to collapse. You can see the amount of smoke added to the plume from where the towers came down + WTC5/6. Wind is blowing north-easterly." Update # 2: A few videos pointed out by a reader seem to cloud the issue: http://www.911myths.com/WTC7_Smoke.avi http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IjvlO3PEVz4 A physicist who has viewed these videos states: "Actually, it may be that the smoke in these videos/photos is rising up the south face of WTC 7 rather than emerging from 7... A video showing the bottom of 7 and ANY FLAMES would be helpful." Update # 3: Our updated conclusion is that some some did come from Building 7 itself, but that much of the smoke came from buildings 5 and 6. Additional images showing the base of Building 7 will be helpful in determining the respective contributions of smoke from the various buildings. Bottom Line: The debate about the smoke is ongoing. However, controlled demolition is the only way to explain the partial evaporation of steel, molten metal, symmetric collapse and free-fall speed seen with building 7. Specifically, an expert stated about World Trade Center building 7: "A combination of an uncontrolled fire and the structural damage might have been able to bring the building down, some engineers said. But that would not explain steel members in the debris pile that appear to have been PARTLY EVAPORATED in extraordinarily high temperatures" . (pay-per-view). Note that evaporation means conversion from a liquid to a gas; so the steel beams in building 7 were subjected to temperatures high enough to melt and evaporate them. However, even ignoring the evaporation, the molten metal by itself is very telling. The molten metal under building 7 appears similar to the molten metal under buildings 1 and 2. Molten metal is not generally found under collapsed buildings. Even ignoring the evaporation, the molten metal cannot be explained absent high-explosives. Additionally, the fact that building 7 collapsed in an extraordinarily symmetric fashion is obvious if you watch any videos of the collapse (like this one, for example) (also, why did the penthouse collapse first?). And the free-fall speed, possible only in a demolition, has been documented scientifically. Partial evaporation, molten metal, symmetric collapse, free-fall speed . . . these facts prove demolition. Indeed, two structural engineers at a prestigious Swiss university said that, on 9/11, World Trade Center 7 was brought down by controlled demolition (translation here). And a Dutch demolition expert said that WTC 7 was intentionally imploded. there comes a point when denial becomes insanity, but its sort of a grey zone rather than a strict line. you are well into the crazy zone when you don't believe your own eyes and senses (911, chemtrail stuff, etc., simply can't be true despite seeing it right there in front of your eyes), but instead outsource your judgement and critical thinking to the cult of 'experts' and 'scientists', which is really a greater and more potent belief system than even any hard corps fundamentalist religion....but when you combine it with religion you really have gone off the deep end. i have thought for a long time now that most people are truly crazy in terms of not being able to see the obvious state of how far things have fallen, while pretending nothing at all is wrong.

Now you're going to add a few from these groups to your mix of 9/11 *Scholars*? They will fit right in with the theologians and philosophers and janitors. ROTFLOL! What a shame that some good questions that probably do deserve answers must yet again get linked to claims about bombs in the towers or no Flight 77 (in the process discrediting the attempt to find the truth). By all means ... let's see what the blogger thinks the bottom line is since if one can discredit the bottom line, do the rest of the questions have any merit? Controlled demolition is not the "only" way to explain the partial evaporation of steel or molten steel. And WTC 7 did NOT collapse symmetrically. It toppled over on one side. And it was not a free-fall collapse. The collapse actually started more than 7 seconds before the CT community would have folks believe. The person quoted apparently doesn't know about eutectic mixtures. Those who do and who actually discovered the presence of them in the steel at WTC 7 said their formation might have happened in the environment of the rubble pile after the collapse or even in the years before the structure collapsed. Well that's curious. You folks cite Jowenko as your sole demolition expert supporting the notion that WTC 7 was a controlled demolition. Yet Jowenko also said that WTC 1 and WTC 2 were definitely NOT controlled demolitions. Again, a claim that is absolutely false. As anyone who has paid attention to my posts here at 4um would know. But so did the WTC towers, yet your demolition expert says they were definitely not controlled demolitions. That's a very good question. An even better question is why do the CT community's videos not show the collapse of the east penthouse mechanical room ... which happened more than 7 seconds before the videos they only show? Do they think it's not significant? The collapse of the east penthouse and the rest of the penthouse seconds before the collapse shown in the CT videos, combined with the fact there was a huge hole on the south side of the structure, might suggest the inside of the structure was severely compromised (in other words, essentially hollow) at the time the CT communities videos of their 6.5 second collapse begin. Then a free-fall collapse becomes less problematic. Indeed, if the North face of the structure you see in those videos was actually toppling over towards the southeast because the structure on the south and east sides of the building were now missing, then of course it would appear to decend at free-fall speed. And, in fact, photos show that the structure did topple to the South with the North face ending up on top of the rubble pile. I'll give the poster the benefit of the doubt (this time) and just assume he/she was unaware of these facts. And all three, before reaching their conclusion, were only shown video of the last 6.5 seconds of collapse. They never knew that the east penthouse sank into the structure more than 7 seconds earlier. They also didn't know that the firemen had measured a tilt in the structure hours before the actual collapse. And before reaching their conclusion they also weren't told the building had been on fire for 7 hours and that it was severely damaged on the south face. And lastly, perhaps it should be mentioned that the two Swiss structural engineers (both somewhat elderly) have made no claims about WTC 1 or WTC 2, while the demolition expert has said WTC 1 and WTC 2 were NOT demolitions. So if the bottom line is bogus or deceptive ...

Unfortunately I have to agree with you. I had a Ph.D. in Philosophy tell me the WTC "fell in its own footprint." When I told him the debris rained down over about ten square blocks and caused trememdous damge, that was the last time he mentioned it.

Since you're so fond of your experts, where are all of your experts that say you're not in denial? All of our experts say you are, therefore you must be, using your criteria.

I always thought the official version was too preposterous to be for real, there are just too many ridiculous assertions about the whole thing. It boggles my mind that people such as BeAChooser can be such rabid defenders of the fairy tale unless they are being paid.

The defenders of the "official story" and the current regime are getting desperate as more and more people turn away from their obvious lies and begin to fully embrace the totality of what 9/11 really meant. While this is a hopeful development, it's also very dangerous. These people are psychopaths with no conception or concern for what is right or the well-being of their fellow human beings. They ONLY care about money, power and status, and will resort to any kind of treachery to keep it. As a result, I do fear that as the 9/11 truth movement grows and gathers strength, the obvious solution in the minds of the current regime will be to stage yet another "terror attack" that will be so deeply horrifying and cause so many casualties that people will stop talking about 9/11 and instead focus on the new horror. I'm very worried that we will soon see the deployment of either a small nuclear device and/or a biological terror weapon here in the not too distant future, supposedly set off by "Al-Quaeda" terrorists, but actually deployed by terrorists based much closer to home. We need to make people aware of that now, and to prepare themselves for the wholesale mental and emotional manipulations that will come in the wake of that attack. Mark my words, one of their hallmark arguments in the wake of this will be "why are you going on about that ancient history terror attack that only killed 3000 Americans when we just had an attack that killed 300,000? Are you on the side of the terrorists? Do you want them to win? What will you say when they stage their next attack that kills three million? Talking about 9/11 just gives aid and comfort to those terrorists! I'm reporting you to Homeland Security!"

Note that evaporation means conversion from a liquid to a gas; so the steel beams in building 7 were subjected to temperatures high enough to melt and evaporate them.
However, even ignoring the evaporation, the molten metal by itself is very telling. The molten metal under building 7 appears similar to the molten metal under buildings 1 and 2.
Even ignoring the evaporation, the molten metal cannot be explained absent high-explosives.
Additionally, the fact that building 7 collapsed in an extraordinarily symmetric fashion is obvious if you watch any videos of the collapse
(also, why did the penthouse collapse first?).
And the free-fall speed, possible only in a demolition, has been documented scientifically.
Indeed, two structural engineers at a prestigious Swiss university said that, on 9/11, World Trade Center 7 was brought down by controlled demolition (translation here). And a Dutch demolition expert said that WTC 7 was intentionally imploded.

You really nailed it I'm afraid. Your's should be post of the month. I've thought too that the govt is going to start to worry about their hold on power as more people speak out against 911, and will indeed stage something much worse, usher in martial law, and make is so that anyone who talks about false flag operations and such will be looked upon as a traitor and taken away, in other words it will be the final clamp-down on our freedoms. That is what I think will happen too and it probably will be fairly soon, they want to shut people up so they can continue their invasions and thefts. I just don't know what is going to happen to all of us, our future does not look promising at all. I'm just glad I live so far away, I feel very blessed for that even if it means giving up some things others take for granted. At least here a person can live off the land and who knows, it may come to that.
