If true about Ron Paul supporters, it is indicative of a solid grassroots campaign of support comprised of diehards. Ronald Reagan had such a base of core supporters in his 1980 bid for the White House. Through their actions, Little Green Footballs may thwart candidates with such support. That's unfortunate as it is the core supporters that have the passion to stir others to vote, and it might be the only chance the Republicans have to win the White House in 08.

I think everyone who saw Dr. Paul's rant at the FNC debate is qualified to make the diagnosis that he is a nut.

He's my Congressman and on most issues I agree strongly with him. But he is still a Libertarian nut, who forgets that we live in the real world, with real bad guys, not a pristine debating circle.

Even on Constitutional issues he talks a good game, but has he ever got any bill passed that protects our Constitutional rights?

Does anyone in the leadership of either Party even acknowledge his existence, even standing in the same elevator?
