Martinez: Immigration bill could save GOP

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Republican National Committee Chairman Sen. Mel Martinez rejected the claim that the new immigration bill will anger conservatives and destroy the GOP's chances to win in the 2008 election.

On CNN's Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer Sunday, Martinez said immigration "could be the saving of the Republican Party, frankly. And to do nothing would be the wrong thing for the American people." Martinez is optimistic that the controversial legislation will make it through Congress, and he is counting on President Bush "to get us over the finish line."

Seems the GOP doesn't even care if their bullshit is credible anymore. They are now just going though the motions of justifying their acts to the American peole. Soon, like all good fascists, they won't even bother to do this. They will simply tell us how it is going to be.

Two weeks ago I visited my old hometown. I am white and was told by a couple of Third World immigrants that this town belongs to them now and that people like me (i.e. whites) do not belong there. So much for liberalisn, multiculturalism and diversity making America a stronger country. Amnesty will balkanize America. California has already been balkanized.
