Of course James Guckert is the real name of disgraced fake journalist Jeff Gannon.

You know things are getting pretty bad for DeLay when Gannon is part of his effort to shore up political support.

Oh, that just reminded me of Al Franken's greatest joke. That NY senator Al D'amato had called in to Imus and was making fun of Judge Ito, doing a horrible Japanese accent, "Me judge Ito, me like cameras, me like publicity" and that sort of shit.

So the next week on SNL they had his sister being screwed by a donkey, saying, "ooo, I like-a that. You got a big-a one" in a horrible Italian accent.

So Al runs into Alphonso a while later at a cocktail party and he says, jeez, did you have to say that about my SISTER? Al bit his tongue, but the original script has his MOTHER in it, but the censors said, that's a bit much.
