Thank you. I dislike such confrontations and take no satisfactions in such. This country is at a crossroads and any effort by people of a public forum to destroy the lone voice in the wilderness is unacceptable. I would hope that at least some people would understand with concern what was being attempted, for what purpose, and by whom. Being afraid to speak up because of fear and intimidation is exactly what is wanted by people that are not Americans.

What's really interesting is that we've come full circle over the last 100 years, and we're right back to a robber baron system where a few elites get everything, and everyone else gets to be a slave for crumbs. However, unlike a hundred years ago, we now have proven, working examples of a better alternative way of doing things, that really works in the real world. I submit that Sweden, Finland, and Norway have shown that there is an alternative to the extremes of Capitalism and Communism, and that it IS possible to have a better system with a better quality of life that works for everyone, and not just for a privileged few. It's not a question of "pipe dreams" or "utopian fantasies". It's a question of PROVEN EXAMPLES that ACTUALLY WORK in the REAL WORLD. Let's stop blinding ourselves to it. Let's LOOK and LEARN from countries that have PROVEN that there is, in fact, a better way!

However, Karl Marx hi-jacked the concept, married it to the trade unions for muscle and once again the "few" were off to enslave the world. If he's typical of our "troops," (and yes, I realize he probably served behind a typewriter if he served at all), we're in trouble. I gotta admit, LP is a more lively place than it was when I left.
