It appears there are quite a few folks here from getting off the same train I did! Man, what a crazy train. Things would be fine, for awhile, then it would fall off the tracks again. And no notice of the derailment, ever. And boy, what a mess! ;-)

What's really interesting is that we've come full circle over the last 100 years, and we're right back to a robber baron system where a few elites get everything, and everyone else gets to be a slave for crumbs. However, unlike a hundred years ago, we now have proven, working examples of a better alternative way of doing things, that really works in the real world. I submit that Sweden, Finland, and Norway have shown that there is an alternative to the extremes of Capitalism and Communism, and that it IS possible to have a better system with a better quality of life that works for everyone, and not just for a privileged few. It's not a question of "pipe dreams" or "utopian fantasies". It's a question of PROVEN EXAMPLES that ACTUALLY WORK in the REAL WORLD. Let's stop blinding ourselves to it. Let's LOOK and LEARN from countries that have PROVEN that there is, in fact, a better way!

Agreed. Americans think they're independent and free, nothing could be further from the truth. They're completely dependent on international bankers for their economy and free only to serve the internationalists' agenda, which generally includes conscripting their kids in the Imperial Army. Regardless of the ISM, it seems a cabal of elitists are able to obtain compromise from enough bureaucrats to thwart the device (Constitution) intended to thwart them.
Agreed... Socialism was brought to us by capitalists that saw the light such as you correctly describe above. The prime mover being Robert Owen. However, Karl Marx hi-jacked the concept, married it to the trade unions for muscle and once again the "few" were off to enslave the world. Someone said a long time ago, capitalism is not all good and socialism is not all bad.
