Surprise, surprise. The internet thinks that Ron Paul won the debate last night. What is the deal with his supporters? Are they just a bunch of IT guys who have built little voting programs to stuff the ballot on behalf of their man?

CNN has a poll right now asking about last night’s debate. Ron Paul leads the field by a wide margin in each of the following questions:

1) Who do you think won the debate?

2) Who seemed to know most about the issues?

3) Who had the best one-liner or comeback?

4) Whose performance was most surprising?

5) Whose campaign got the biggest boost from the debate?

And of course he is not leading this question: 1) Who had the most disappointing performance at the debate?

Seriously folks, what is the deal? How could anyone in their right mind think Ron Paul won last night’s debate? The guy barely got 20 words in the whole time. I think it actually diminishes Ron Paul’s message for his supporters to so obviously stuff the ballots in these polls that can be manipulated. Real polling shows Ron Paul in a dead heat with “other” and Mickey Mouse, so it’s obviously a farce for him to be leading in these online polls.

And as a funny aside, not surprisingly, Ron Paul isn’t leading the polling for this question “Who was the snappiest dresser?” Apparently suave Mitt Romney just beat out Ron Paul’s cheap suit and crooked tie.

The mainstream press seems to think that the big three (McCain, Giuliani, and Romney) all had strong performances last night. Also, Mike Huckabee was a pleasant surprise. His sharp wit and gentle demeanor seemed to please a lot of folks. That being said, he still has very little shot at winning the nomination. So let’s please narrow the field down before the next debate.

RP only had 20 words, eh? yeah, but he said more that resonated with the people in those "20 words" than the main three skunks said in thousands. and, btw, it's not the internet who thinks RP won the debate. it's real Americans. awful threatened by that, aren't you?

Paul campaign...

http://www.ronpaul2008.com/

June 08, 2007 "Tracking Ron Paul's Internet Boom"

"Congressman Ron Paul's surprising second place finish in Fox News' debate watchers text message poll was just the start of his increasing popularity. Paul had received little mention as a true contender for the GOP nomination, yet he earned 25% of the vote and is leaving political analysts scratching their heads.

"It is not just the Fox News poll that shows a jump in support for Paul since the second Republican Debate last month in South Carolina. According to http://TechPresident.com, Paul's MySpace support has jumped over 20% to 15,000 "friends." Moreover, Paul's YouTube stats have increased 621.2% with 533,314 video downloads. Nearly one million people have visited the Ron Paul YouTube Channel, which is second only to Barrack Obama. Earlier in the week, he appeared on the popular YouTube channel DomeNation, speaking about his recent quarrel with fellow Republican Rudy Giluiani.

"Paul's online support is beginning to translate into tangible results offline. Last Friday, the congressman was hailed as Bill Maher's "new favorite person" on his HBO show Real Time with Bill Maher. A rally was held shortly before the taping of the show, completely organized by supporters unaffiliated with the campaign through http://Eventful.com. His campaign is hiring staff in the early primary states, and the campaign claims to see a spike in fundraising. So why is Paul conquering the web, yet barely registering in the minds of the established media?

"Paul's anti interventionist message combined with the utilization of internet-based technology has made him arguably the Internet's most popular Republican politician. Because of the Web he is able to reach millions of voters without raising or spending millions of dollars. How far will this internet boom carry the Republican dark horse in his quest for the presidency?"

I think there are just alot of people who want to support a candidate that actually understands and obeys the Constitution. 2. John Says: June 6th, 2007 at 2:44 pm

This is an illegitimate article. There is no such thing as “stuffing ballot boxes.” It is obvious that he is winning the polls because he has SUPPORT. He did win the debate because he focuses on the strongest message and has the best policies. 3. John's Dad Says: June 6th, 2007 at 3:19 pm

Maybe since Paul is such a loser, all his supporters are too, hence the large amount of spare time they have to manipulate online polls. I bet they have WoW accounts too.

OK, enough online rambling. I’m gonna go buy some whiskey and cigarettes and see if I can reconnect with my long-lost son. 4. Eric Boyer Says: June 6th, 2007 at 3:30 pm

I’m very much a real person. I really voted for Bush in 1998 and I really kick myself over that decision.

I really really want our government to make sense again.

Did I mention I’m a real person with a real vote? 5. Jason Says: June 6th, 2007 at 3:32 pm

His supporters are more passionate than anyone elses because they actually care about the Constitution and the country. We don’t want another George Bush clone or Hilary Clinton… what we are left with is a 70 year old Texan who everyone says “can’t win” yet has more support than all the other candidates.

If his supporters are just spam, then why is he the most searched candidate on Technorati, Myspace, and Youtube? Ron Paul is the GOP’s version of Howard Dean, and he has almost a year to keep gathering supporters.

As a military veteran, and as a person who believes in free markets and the constitution, there is no other candidate. The other 9 Republicans advocated a preemptive nuklear strike on Iran last night! What kind of nut cases are we trying to get to lead this country??? And the Democrats want the nanny state to take over our lives. Paul is the only one who is trying to stop the insanity. Thats why he has support.

Watch this, he is the only one who gets what is really going on…

I've been thinking about the difference between Ron Paul's internet support, which is extreme, and his "polling" support, which is negligible. First, the polls are done in a manner that excludes a lot of the population, especially those without land lines, etc. Secondly, the polls are dated. That said, a responsible polling would still likely show him to be in single digits.

But on the internet it's vastly different. And the reason for this is obvious. The internet voters who "spam" on his behalf are passionate about him. More so than the supporters of any other candidate. Why is this so? Because these are people who have studied politics and are curious and passionate about politics, history and keeping themselves informed. They form, basically, an intelligentsia about these issues.

They are the bloggers who correct you when you say the Gold Standard was demolished in 1974 when we went away from Bretton-Woods. They are the people who will correct you when you say the Iranian Prime Minister was deposed by the CIA at the behest of Shell Oil (it wasn't Shell Oil, it was a different oil company).

They are passionate about history and politics and truth and accuracy. Accordingly, they are passionate about Ron Paul. Because he is a student of history who understands how far our country has gone astray from its promise. He appeals to others who've had the passion and diligence to inform themselves of the truth, because if you take an honest look at our history and an open minded look at the world absent spin, you can't help but come to the same conclusions he does.

He's the candidate of the well-informed patriot. He's the candidate of the smart economist. He's the candidate of the disillusioned former major party apparatchik. He's the candidate of the honest American who recognizes that the media is no longer honest and no longer serves the people.

If that makes some sheep like the writer of this piece nervous or whatever? Who gives a crap?

Like the GOP has ANY chance whatsoever of picking a winner in 2008?

Maybe you're the idiot who ought to get serious.

And the publican, standing far off, would not so much as lift his eyes unto heaven, but smote his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather thant he other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. -Luke 18: 14.

Do you wet your Depends as you type that whining lickspittle propaganda? REAL Americans care enough about Truth and Justice as to see an end to a war that should never have been fought, that has killed close to a million innocent people, and has maimed countless more.

What has the war in Iraq done for America? How has this Nation benefitted from it?

Nobody is advocating that we allow Al-Qaeda to "dictate" US policy. US policy should be based upon what is right for the American People, NOT for what is right for those that run the military industrial complex and profit from war.

Al-Qaeda wouldn't even BE in Iraq if we didn't cause half the population there to rise up against our occupation of that country. If anything, people such as YOU aid and abet Al-Qaeda by helping it find new recruits.

The people who judge candidates by how they dress must be really deep thinkers.

To reason, indeed, he was not in the habit of attending. His mode of arguing, if it is to be so called, was one not uncommon among dull and stubborn persons, who are accustomed to be surrounded by their inferiors. He asserted a proposition; and, as often as wiser people ventured respectfully to show that it was erroneous, he asserted it again, in exactly the same words, and conceived that, by doing so, he at once disposed of all objections. - Macaulay, "History of England," Vol. 1, Chapter 6, on James II.

This is why "R"s fear Ron Paul. Because he "get's it" and has seen the effects of long term brush fire wars. He saw the inflation of the post-Vietnam era first hand. Paul also knows that the only way to stomp out every Muslim with a hot temper is to convert the US into one huge muntion's and arms factory and turn this country into a mirror image of 1970's USSR.

I ask every bot the same question when they say they want to "win" the WOsT. Are you ready to surrender every car you own, eliminate the consumer economy, eat cabbage 3 meals a day, and work 24/7 in an arms factory? Because that is the only way the US can do it.

That's why the *ugh* leaders on both sides of the R/D fraud keep making noises about using nukes. They know making the bulk of the Us population drive trabants and yugos the rest of our lives won't go over too well. Lobbing around ICBMs is more tolerable because it won't interupt American idol or drive up the price of SUVs

Ron Paul (and that other former Senator from Alaska on the "D" side) are the only ones who dare step outside the box and ask us to take a hard look at just what it is we are fighting for in the first place and if we should be fighting at all.

That makes him a great threat to the MIC and the fear factory in DC who gut our rights in the name of defending us from CIA assets gone bad.

Romney obviously had the most expensive clothes, but why the hell would anyone vote for him because of that? Shit, I'm as democratic as the next guy, but do we really need all this static? Maybe we can hold several elections at the same time, but once you show up you have to pick one and only one in which you wish to cast a vote.

The one multibillionaire I've ever known dressed very casually.

Some people know better than to spend a lot of time on superficialities.

At Tufts in Boston, a group of conservative students published a counterpoint article to offset the rosy view of Islam being depicted during Islamic Awareness Week. Their article highlighted the bigotry and violence associated with the Koran.

What was the reaction to their counterpoint? Charges of harassment, and a guilty verdict by a panel of faculty and fellow students. Free speech is not tolerated at the majority of Universities if it differs from their extreme left wing ideology.....

Scary how well you have figured these people out. They do not work based on what is just and ethical, they work with prefered results and strive for plausible denial.

The use of disinformation and false flag shows meant to wag the dog is something they have used for years, and it's only in the rock show of 9-11 when their arogance and hubris has gotten the better of them and they stretched the plasible denial thing so far it has snapped like a big bubblegum bubble.

I really hope these people are dealt with soon, they will just keep doing more of the same to everyone's detriment but themselves and their buddies.

Mossad->CIA->

I agree; however, these two, along with MI5 in Britian, for all intents and purposes, are 1. Although they will act separately, it is more a case of a pack of wolves, where cooperation is essential to the success of the hunt, and it is only on the division of spoils that discord is found.

The posts that I put up a few days ago about the CIA running drugs into the inner cities, and esp. Los Angelas, is just a small sample of how all three agencies work world wide in the distribution of drugs, as just one example of how they cooperate. Of course, MI5 is the BIG BROTHER in all of this, so we would expect to hear more about the other two siblings.

The Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

An interesting post from Jack Blood's forum...

Posted: Fri Jun 08, 2007 4:10 pm Post subject: Gallop Poll - A Corrupt Poll - not like you didn't know.

I have been very busy today and have not had time to post this although I need to get it out there. I will make this very brief.

A friend of mine from work got called by the the Gallup Poll people last night. They began asking various questions about Hilary and Rudy and Mitt. After they finally got done on what I would almost consider "push-poll" My buddy finally asked them, "When are you going to ask me about my favorite candidate"? They said "who would that be"? And he told them Ron Paul.

Then the Polling person hummed and hawed around for a minute and said, "The computer just gives us the questions we should ask".

With that my buddy ripped into them about how they claim to be a viable, honest poll. They finally gave him a number that he can call to complain.

He left the number at home but I should be able to add it to this post sometime this weekend. - If they want comments and complaints we will give them some!

Yeah, I know. I was being a bit melodramatic for the partisan shill, who must after all be deathly afraid of the Clintons. Nonetheless, Paul is still the only Republican capable or likely to beat Hillary -- Getting Paul beyond the primaries is of course a great leap. Any way you look at it, a vote for anyone else but Paul regardless of party is tantamount to signing America's death warrent.

I disagree with those who propose a Paul/Hunter ticket. It would never float. The war is Paul's number 1 issue, and Hunter wants to nuke Iran -- directly in conflict with what Paul says is the biggest moral issue of the day.

And please pardon the late response. I left for work during this thread only to discover to my horror that the computer wouldn't turn on when I got home. Next day I find out the motherboard is kaput. I'm having the motherboard replaced -- in the meantime I'm using a Windows 98 computer and dialup that I've had as a backup. Hopefully this won't be for too long

This is Orwellian circular logic and double speak. The real farce is foisting the MSM polls we know have long been rigged.

"paraphrase the question" so what the hell have you done JC ?

-imaginary all

I have given money this season several times and bought and passed out Ron Paul bumper stickers thus far.

I have held rank in the Republican Party so last November, sick of a NeoCon Tribe stinking rich Carpetbagging Senator Pretty Boy posing as a true down to earth Southern conservative, I called and recruited a score of previous precinct chairmen and several district committee members and we delivered, by VERY conservative count the needed 5,000 votes to oust this slick NeoCon.

Now whether we replaced him with anything better is to be seen, but the point is, keyboard pounding did not do it ! Organization skill and effort and a network ( hell we don't even know for the most part whether the others have computers!).

We MADE something happen that took back the night in one election from the privileged and chosen Tribe !

If you really want to save America, work to make the Electoral College award votes by DISTRICT!! This will not hurt ANY party specifically but it will STOP ONCE AND FOR ALL the TRIBE OWNING all national elections from the comfortable corrupt bloc vote of less than a dozen cities. For details go to http://amazon.com and buy Alfred Lilienthal's essentially banned (yeah, this clan bans, censors and enslaves as part of their continuous unreported history) book, the Zionist Connection.

Read it and please ping me. I will gladly accept the "Thank you"

No kidding. The T-shirt and bumper stickers I ordered just arrived...the stickers were creased in odd places and the "EVOL" in "Ron Paul eEVOLution" was not red (as advertised) but a brownish color.

What about a "Call to arms"?

Sending money to the Ron Paul campaign would help him get elected?

Typing IS moving one's body?

. . . prayer is the only real action in the full sense of the word, because prayer is the only thing that changes one's character. A change in character, or a change in soul, is a real change. When that kind of change takes place, you become a different person and, therefore, for the rest of your life you act in a different way from the way in which you have previously acted, and in which you would have continued to act had you not prayed. In other words, you become a different person. The amount of difference may be only very slight for each time that you pray: nevertheless it is there, for you cannot pray without making yourself different in some degree. ~ Emmett Fox

Prayer is always the solution. No matter what kind of difficulty may be facing you, no matter how complicated your problem may seem – prayer can solve it. Of course you will also take whatever practical steps seem to be indicated, and if you do not know what steps to take, prayer will show you. Prayer is constantly bringing about the seemingly impossible, and there is no conceivable problem that has not at some time been solved by prayer. When we remember that God really is omnipotent, untrammeled by what we call time or space or matter, or the vagaries of human nature, it is easy to see that there can be no limit to the power of prayer. You can pray about a problem and solve it at any stage, but of course the earlier you tackle it the easier your work will be. ~ Emmett Fox

For one that is so active in politics, you seem to have NOT learned the basic premise of grassroots movements. Namely, NEVER piss off those that are with you or are potential allies.

That is exactly what you have accomplished with this rant. It was counter productive, and if you have the experience you cite, you will realize this yourself.

Being "brutal" as you characterize yourself gains nothing for Paul nor does it give incentive for anyone here to read your otherwise interesting posts.

Only .com, .org and .net are presently recognized as potential domain names. You could change the .us to a .com, preview with the auto-hyperlink on, then change it back to .us (in both places) if that would be worth the trouble.

Of course the whole thing could be done manually too.

I love a woman with determination.

Mac Davis Lyrics: Baby Don't Get Hooked On Me

Girl, you're gettin' that look in your eyes
And it's startin' to worry me
I ain't ready for no family ties
Nobody's gonna hurry me
Just keep it friendly, girl, 'cause I don't wanna leave
Don't start clingin' to me, girl, 'cause I can't breathe

Baby, baby, don't get hooked on me
'cause I'll just use you then I'll set you free
Baby, baby, don't get hooked on me

Girl, you're a hot-blooded woman-child
And it's warm where you're touchin' me
But I can tell by your tremblin' smile
You're seein' way too much in me
Girl, don't let your life get tangled up with mine
'cause I'll just leave you, I can't take no clingin' vine

Baby, baby, don't get hooked on me
'cause I'll just use you then I'll set you free
Baby, baby, don't get hooked on me
