Interesting title by Norquist's bride: White House, Karl Rove denounces anti-Muslim bigotry.

I was looking for the names of those who were on the board.. the leadership.. didnt find it .. it may be there but I didnt do a thorough search..

And it gets more strange:

Norquist's Wedding No official officiation

Some eyebrows were raised last weekend when The Washington Post reported that Rabbi Daniel Lapin had presided over the wedding of conservative activist Grover Norquist and Samah Alrayyes -- since neither of the newlyweds is Jewish.

But a spokesperson for Toward Tradition, the conservative political group Lapin leads, said the Orthodox rabbi merely introduced the couple at a celebration of the nuptials. Norquist and his bride were officially married by a justice of peace prior to the party.

is that bizarre or what? A Palestinian muslim and Grover Norquist (who if you check the link on Norquist in the table, is being hinted at as being gay) being married by a rabbi? WTF?

This gets weirder:

Friends In High Places

"Sami Al-Arian isn't the only prominent Muslim leader who posed for chummy pictures with President Bush. Many conservative Republicans are uneasy at the way GOP power broker Grover Norquist curries support from the Muslim community."

"The rumpled, balding figure was spotted darting into the offices of Republican power broker Grover Norquist last July... Sami

Al-Arian emerged more than two hours later... Al-Arian was visiting the Islamic Institute, a Muslim outreach group cofounded by Norquist and housed within his office suite."

"In June 2001, Al-Arian was among members of the American Muslim Council invited to the White House complex for abriefing by Bush political adviser Karl Rove. The next month, the National Coalition to Protect Political Freedom - a civil liberties group headed by Al-Arian - gave Norquist an award for his work to abolish the use of secret intelligence evidence in terrorism cases, a position Bush had adopted in the 2000 campaign."

Well, that explains how FR was co-opted.

They were taken in my the Washington (ahem) "elite" and became starry eyed dreamers, just like the rest of the administration and it's admirers.

Also, post #25 is interesting.

Grover Norquist is one of several people who informally advises FRN on a number of issues.

This article indicates that Blogging for $$ is becoming a real business.

I bet if you checked it out you'd find that he shut up at exactly the same time the DA grabbed his medical records. I've always thought there was more than dope in there.

LImbaugh wouldn't have been this excited about dope. He could have just pled out the prescription drug charge. The damage wouldn't be increased here even if there was some minor house arrest involved. Limbaugh already had the goobs looking the other way on this one.

I'm thinking there's something in there like an emergency room visit where Limbaugh gets a shot glass extracted from his ass; or some other such dead give away.

The Golden Gate Bridge would make a splendid backdrop for the mass execution of tratiors (aka Congress, the Bush admin, and the Supreme Court).

Emmett Tyrell was on C-SPAN last week some morning. Apparently the New York Times had reported that Grover Norquist was not at the DeLay testimonial, and Tyrell said this meant nothing, because Norquist was giving a dinner party at his home that evening (as though he couldn't cancel or reschedule it.)

Over the weekend, C-SPAN Radio rebroadcast the testimonial, and I happened to hear one of the speakers announcing that Norquist was one of those present at the dinner. It sounded as if it was at the beginning of the testimonial.

By the way, aren't Gaffney and Norquist supposedly enemies? (Something to do with Norquist's attempted opening to Muslims, as opposed to Gaffney's true-blue anti-Arab neoconservativism.) I wonder if Gaffney could have been pumping Guckert/Gannon for info on Norquist at the testimonial.

Doesn't it seem like when things go to hell, everything turns homo? It was like this with the Nazis, with McArthy, with the Romans, with the Byzantine Empire and everyone else I can think of that went off the rails.

I wonder if organizations tend to silt in this way. A couple of fags get in at the top and then people start blowing their way to success. After a few years you end up with a political party staffed by people who give great blowjobs, but don't know how to run a country.

If you shot them in the ass, would you be required (under the Geneva Convention) to offer the gerbil a blindfold too?

That's where he went to college. He was born and grew up in a town in PA that I never heard of. And I think he lived in the Philadelphia area for a while (although maybe that's when he was in Delaware, which is very near Philadelphia.)

No damn wonder any realistic appraisal, discussion and analysis of the jihadi threat was diverted or stonewalled when it came too close to Bush.

I love it. A jihadisymp is advising the POTUS and has his adviser's ear.

Peachy. Anything to distract from the State Sponsors of 911, Saudi and Pak.

And speaking of PA: Randy McFarland, owner of Karmak, inc. made the following public statement: James Guckert (JD) worked for Karmak From April, 1999 to January, 2002. Karmak sub-contracted JD to manage the office, including accounting, scheduling, etc. When JD gave his notice to Karmak in December 2001, we knew his intention was to work in Washington, DC, however, we did not have any knowledge as to his future employment. JD was a good employee and pleasant to work with. His personal and political life was not discussed at work.

Karmak Inc. provides the very finest in paint and repair facilities in the Delaware Valley. We are able to accomodate large vehicles and equipment, perform quality workmanship and deliver a premium product in a timely, professional manner.

Our professional staff is both ASE and I-CAR certified.

Americans for Tax Reform President and formerly confirmed bachelor Grover Norquist is getting married April 2 at an undisclosed location in Virginia. (Gotta keep the paparazzi away, after all.) He and his fiancée, Samah Alrayyes, went to the same high school in Weston, Mass., though they did not become sweethearts until recently. Norquist is 48. Alrayyes, who works for the foreign aid agency USAID, is 31.

Weston, MA is a suburb of Boston. If Norquist was born in Sharon, PA, he seems to have moved away at an early age.

Not that it matters much to most folks.
